The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) is a 21.8-km sea bridge connecting Sewri and Chirle in Navi Mumbai, set to be India's longest bridge upon completion in November 2023, with a projected cost of ₹17,843 crore. This infrastructure project aims to significantly reduce travel time between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai to 15-20 minutes and includes advanced features such as toll systems and intelligent transport technologies. The project is supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and is expected to enhance connectivity and economic development in the region.
