and operation date will be announced closer to the time that JICA, the project's
major investor, has proposed an increase in toll rates due to an increase in
construction expenses. To repay its investment in the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link,
the MMRDA plans to collect tolls until 2045.

Nearly 130 hectares of land are needed for the development of the Mumbai Trans
Harbour Link, of which CIDCO has donated 88 hectares. The MMRDA will pay
owners for the remaining land since it is private property. The MMRDA will receive
more than 27 hectares of land from the Mumbai Port Trust.
