4. What does “Mudra” Mean?
You may be familiar with some of the different hand positions used to set
intention and focus at the beginning of yoga class. These gestures are called
mudras, which is a Sanskrit word that means “seal.”
While we constantly use our hands throughout the day, in yoga, martial arts
and many cultures’ dance traditions, the hands are considered particularly
important energetic centres. In fact, in Ayurveda and traditional Chinese
medicine, each finger is associated with specific organs, which helps us to
regulate our health.
Additionally, the hands have an intimate connection with our brains, both
through neural activity and mindful cognition. The way we hold our hands can
influence how we guide our minds. This is why yogis have practiced hand
mudras. Mudras are the perfect instrument to prepare the mind for meditation,
since the mind follows the habits of the body.

5. About Kalí Zoë Designs
 Kalí Zoë Designs, founded by sisters Callie and Arianna Spiros, is a jewellery
design studio dedicated to holistic and therapeutic intentions in wearable
design
 It was only natural for these sisters to turn this passion project into a company,
with the support of their educational institutions, entrepreneurial fellowship
(Future Founders of Chicago) and family.
 They lived and worked on development of Kali Zoe Designs at a yoga ashram
and studied meditation and yoga philosophy with global experts in meditation
and Eastern philosophy.
