Mucoderm peev dental review
1. Abstract
Overview: The vestibuloplasty is a procedure that is often used to create a sufficient attached gingiva and
enhancement of denture seating area prior to prosthetic treatment.
Clinical case: In this article authors demonstrate a clinical case with advanced atrophy of the alveolar
ridge of the mandible, where to solve the problem they are using a combination of the Clark's method for
vestibuloplasty and covering the large wound surface with xenogeneic graft, thereby saving the patient's
second operative field for graft harvesting.
Discussion: Slow resorbtion and fast revascularization of the graft created the perfect condition for
smooth running of the postoperative period.

Picture 2: In the area of tooth 43 the periosteum got ruptured, which is probably due to the multiple
decubitus trauma in the area.
2. Picture 3: As expected, the blood-nerve shaft was highly positioned and localized in the sub-mucosa
Picture 4: A re-hydrated Mucoderm was shaped according the defect size and was fixed with sutures
