Provided fresh approaches to mainframe/legacy applications while providing successful
and timely solutions to remedy existing gaps in accuracy, accountability, dependability
and reconcilement. Highlighted accomplishments are the following:
 Delivered a successful implementation of a previously failed Mortgage and Loan
AutoDraft statement application. Concurrently, designed a new illustrative
method of data-mapping the statement data for third party statement rendering

2.  Reducing the iterative testing time of the vendor by 80% or more.
 Reducing the amount of sensitive data re-transmitted thru iterative testing.
 The new approach became the standard template for other outsourced print
objects reducing time and costs for other departmental projects.
 As part of an onshore and offshore team, contributed to the legacy rewrite of
numerous financial reports using MS SQL/SSRS suite leveraging the enterprise
data warehouse as the source.
 Designed and implemented a universal mainframe statement reconcilement
record and API as a key mechanism to support Regulatory Statement Tracking
between mainframe and IKON publishing platform which:
 Totally eliminated the problem of lost regulatory customer mailings.
 Total elimination of reruns and regulatory exposure to fines and penalties.
 Enabled individual statement reprint without restore and rerun tasks.
 Brought that area of the institution back to Fed compliance.
 As the assigned Lead Technical Coordinator for a complex association/branch merger, I
catalogued the necessary technical road-map of the data interdependencies of over 200
legacy and client server applications where no such inventory existed. Conceptualized
the automation of the requisite branch office change procedures that virtually eliminated
the need to setup a team of data entry resources for the merger. The end result?
 No disruption to the servicing of normal daily business functions.
 No keying errors due to the automation.
 Seamless large-scale merger under very unusual and risky circumstances.
 Flexibility in regard to the timing of the start of the merger (fed approval delayed).
 Generated a new tool for performing mass master data movement amongst branches
to support future merger activity.
 Designed and implemented a new Roth investment instrument within the existing
Lawson HR/Payroll application, complete with supporting vendor reconcilement
extracts. The benefits were:
 Large cost savings by eliminating the out-sourcing of the effort to a third party
vendor.
 Gained valuable experience using the Lawson Cobol developer platform on-
the-fly, alleviating the need for future outsourcing to a third party vendor.
 Researched, analyzed and devised proof-of-concept mainframe SOA solutions
for upper management to potentially leverage existing legacy CICS code base
using modern IBM methods and best practices. The byproduct of which was:
 Physical proof to management of the capabilities of mainframe and Windows
server data sharing as real-time service.
 Exposure to WSDL transport methodology and its components.
 New appreciation and understanding for the modern capabilities of an
established computing platform from the server-side audience/peers and

Gained broad and diverse experience with over a dozen large national banks in
professional services capacity. Highlights include the following:
 Member of a small team that delivered a startup lockbox remittance and image
capture operation for a major bank, providing custom capture solutions for 130
commercial endpoint customers, on time and on budget.
 Installed and custom configured imaging system product in partnership with
national vendor.
 Supported team of five technicians sourcing mainframe ETL data for delivery to
Oracle Financial Data Warehouse, while:
 Generating custom ETL interfaces.
 Driving off-hour cyclical testing support which resulted in the accelerated
delivery of product to client.
 Normalizing, standardizing and scrubbing data from disparate supply
channels and vendors to make it uniform for staging to OFSA.
 As a solo resource, designed, developed, and implemented a custom
sophisticated NSF decision and fee solution product, woven into the existing

 Devised generic software utility to translate and print MVS laser formatted offload
statement files in a DOS/VSE environment on a challenge from the bureau

month effort by another team to produce the same result.

translator I developed (sold as new line of business/service).

of a vendors merge process:

go” decision to same day window.
