In Hybrid Agile manner, as one of two requirements analysts, design and prepare
specifications for developers. Work with business SME's and Java and Informatica
developers on daily basis. Gather preliminary data facts, write data definition
documents, user stories and artifacts including source-target mapping with metadata
and validation / cleaning logic. Create high-level design documents for team review.
This project involved the automation of data describing aviation obstacles (such as radio
towers) from multiple nations using XML, text and other formats.
Project ended due to abrupt reallocation of this project to a Boeing subsidiary in Sweden
and Canada, with layoff of 30+ Denver contractors.
Tools & Technologies: Excel including VBA; some MS Access; data conversion and
testing; extensive data profiling. For project continuity, JIRA and Excel. For testing, ALM.

SA (systems analyst) for Data Warehouse
In Hybrid Agile manner, as de-facto lead SA (systems analyst), design and prepare
specifications for requirements, development and reporting. Gather preliminary project
facts, write user stories and artifacts such as source-target mapping with metadata and
validation / cleaning logic, produce data models using Erwin 9.2, work with Data
Architects, DBA’s and ETL dev's on Informatica, Oracle and scripted methods such as
load strategies (including CDC, change data capture) and data manipulation options.
Troubleshoot and design using multiple environments and extensive data profiling and
analysis of existing and proposed fact and dim tables or views. Present high-level test
cases to QA staff; write (or collaborate on) test cases using Excel and SQL. Conduct
UAT with users as needed.
For project #1, involving sales comp data, suggested and implemented expanded trend-
analysis approach which led to superior reporting options. For project #2, wrote VBA in
Excel macros to automate Excel to pipe-delimited text conversion for transmission to
DW, and designed steps involving an existing web-based tool.
Project ended due to abrupt force reduction with layoff of 100+ contractors.

BSA (business systems analyst) for Data Warehouse (Teradata).
In 100% Agile Scrum manner, a contract BSA at Schwab can work up to 18 months and
performs as 99% self-directing analyst: gather preliminary project facts, write User
Stories and artifacts such as source-target mapping, produce data model using Erwin
9.2, work with Data Modeler and ETL Lead on Informatica and Teradata methods such
as load strategies (often SCD -- slowly-changing dimension); plan, coordinate and
execute testing including unit, black-box and UAT.

• At Entersolve: Data analysis - used SSIS and SQL Server bulk copy methods
(BCP) to build an ETL system to produce current test data. Included data
cleaning queries to convert and transport data, analysis of FK's using metadata
queries, mapping to new locations. QA of web system; build monitoring using
TeamCity; defect tracking.
• For TMS: QA of web systems both manual and automated using Selenium IDE in
agile/scrum setting. Mentor QA team members on Selenium via WebEx; wrote
