The Citibank File Xchange (CFX) Insource Project is the initiative to move services currently provided by an
external vendor GXS to within Citi. The services include File translation and connectivity for the payment processing.
The file translation portion involves conversion of client files based on a industry standard formats like IDOC,
EDIFACT or client custom formats to a citi proprietary format named BPDTD (Batch Processing Data Type
Definition)which is xml based format processed downstream by citi Application called Citi Direct.
Now Abinitio is replacing the maps to convert the input formats to BPDTD which is the input for the Citi Backend
payment processing system. This Insulates application level changes from ever changing formats. It involves creation
of standard maps & custom maps. Inbound Process - Import transforms the file to BPDTD according to the
specification for the file format and host profile, produces a syntax file & response file, and sends an even log
message to CFX connector. Migrate Customer data from Citi Connect Insource Client Migration, Data Migration Tool
is designed to meet the migration from GXS to Insource Client Migration and attempts to migrate connectivity of all
its customers to Insource.
