Code of Ethics • 1.Respect human life and the dignity of every individual. • 2.Refrain from supporting or committing crimes against humanity and condemn all such acts. • 3.Treat the sick and injured with competence and compassion and without prejudice. • 4.Apply our knowledge and skills when needed, though doing so may put us at risk. • 5.Protect the privacy and confidentiality of those for whom we care and breach that confidence only when keeping it would seriously threaten their health and safety or that of others. • 6.Work freely with colleagues to discover, develop, and promote advances in medicine and public health that ameliorate suffering and contribute to human well-being. • 7.Educate the public polity about present and future threats to the health of humanity. • 8.Advocate for social, economic, educational, and political changes that ameliorate suffering and contribute to human well-being. • 9.Teach and mentor those who follow us for they are the future of our caring profession.

- 7. Conclusion Honestly it is a moral right to have healthcare because it is directly connected to life which is on f the key staples in the constitution of the United States of America. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Without quality of care individuals would not receive proper care and care may even be avoided while without a code of ethics medical practitioners would probably be more worried about money then solving healthcare issues to save lives. And without resource allocation facilities would not be able to maintain services for the less fortunate creating a complete halt in what should be the moral right to healthcare.

- Moral right to healthcare is a term utilize to discuss the most important aspect of health care should it be available to all persons in the united states. As of right now there are provisions that have been created to force the American people into a healthcare plan. For most of its life the healthcare opportunities were very scarce for those indiviuals who could not afford it. Should all American citizens who fall under this category be able to use government healthcare systems?
- There are 3 main elements that I will discuss that suggest healthcare may be a moral right or atleast should be one aspect is code of ethics another is quality of care and the last is resource allocation.
- According to the ama physician have 10 steps in moral care but the most important aspect is the declaration made for patient care. 1.Respect human life and the dignity of every individual. 2.Refrain from supporting or committing crimes against humanity and condemn all such acts. 3.Treat the sick and injured with competence and compassion and without prejudice. 4.Apply our knowledge and skills when needed, though doing so may put us at risk. 5.Protect the privacy and confidentiality of those for whom we care and breach that confidence only when keeping it would seriously threaten their health and safety or that of others. 6.Work freely with colleagues to discover, develop, and promote advances in medicine and public health that ameliorate suffering and contribute to human well-being. 7.Educate the public polity about present and future threats to the health of humanity. 8.Advocate for social, economic, educational, and political changes that ameliorate suffering and contribute to human well-being. 9.Teach and mentor those who follow us for they are the future of our caring profession. This coe of ethics or declaration for the general code essentially covers why health care is a moral obligation to the American citizen. This creates the foundation for the other two elements that coincide with these statements.
- The quality of care is the main focus that facilities address in training for medical excellence or improving the relationships between patient and staff. According to the ama quality of care is “The degree to which health services for individuals and populations increase the likelihood of desired health outcomes and are consistent with current professional knowledge.” This taps irectly into the coe of ethics and indistinctly hits the subject of moral right to health care by discussing the relationship between patient and care physician. If an individual is denied health for any reason then the desired healthcare for the community is in jeopardy the fact is very simple preventative cost up front but saves the community in the long run by avoiding communicable diseases spread. Without maintain this quality of care for your environment then more problem will arise and limit the effectiveness of care due to the denial of what should be a moral right. Patient flow is important so if individuals are unable to be treated because of financial issues and we allow them to become sick then it would be similar to allowing our community to become sick themselves filling hospitals faster than the staff can diagnose and care for.
- This element is the last and probably one of the most vital resource allocation refers to the hospitals way to budget an allow programs that incorporate all financial statuses to flourish. Many facilities prefer to privatize service to avoid sluggish pay back of government funded programs such as medicare and meicaid denying indiviuals who can not afford immunization or emergency services. It may be complicated at times but in the long run those who consentrate on having a fully functional hospital that handles a vast majority of insurances and services will be securing a high revenue and consistant patient flow avoiding denial of service and possible ethical mishaps.
