Location Clear background I chose this because many
hip-hop magazines that I
looked at use a clear
background as it can bring
attention to the model. This
also is less time consuming
and can let me focus on
other things such as props,
costume etc.
Costume Black suit I want to give my model and
magazine a sophisticated
look. The look of the model
can indicate the success of
my magazine.
Shots/angles High angle/long shot Long shots are commonly
used in hip hop magazines
usually to show the models
outfit. I’m going to use this
for my front cover. I’m also
going to have a clear
background so the audience
can focus on the artist on the
cover rather than the
background.
Gesture/body language Direct address, poses, hand
gestures
Direct address will draw
people in. The poses will
appeal to the audience it can
give a feel of what the article
about the artist may be like.
