The Security Swipe System is a point-of-sale credit and debit card fraud prevention system that uses high resolution digital images and SMS text notifications. When a card is swiped at a terminal, images of the transaction are captured, time stamped, and stored on a remote server. The system also notifies opted-in cardholders via SMS text. If a transaction is not confirmed, the merchant is alerted of potential fraud. The images and data collected can then aid in identifying defrauders and possible prosecution.

● As card is swiped at terminal, high resolution
digital images of the transaction are captured,
time stamped and stored on remote server.
● Opted-in cardholders receive SMS text notification
at time of transaction approval.
● Merchant is alerted of fraud if transaction is not
confirmed by cardholder in a return SMS text.
● System provides time stamped POS transaction
data and clear images of defrauder for future
identification and possible prosecution.

5. How it Works
● Swipe terminal is coded to instruct HR digital camera at POS
checkout to capture images.
● HR digital camera time stamps images of the transaction
and transmits to a remote server.
● Swipe terminal generates transaction number & data to be
sent both to VPN and merchant remote server to be
matched to prior digital images.
● SMS text is sent by VPN to opted-in cardholder that card is
being used at POS retail checkout station.
● Cardholder denies transaction, merchant is notified of
possible fraud and retrieves transaction and image evidence
for use with future in-house security identification and
possible prosecution.
