Analyze Learners:
It will be a first grade class ages 6-7
State Objectives:
The students will know what coins are as well as what they are used for with 100%
accuracy by the end of the day.
Methods, media and material:
I will use today to introduce the students to coins and help them understand that it is our
currency used to purchase things. I will let them know that this knowledge will help them Friday
when it is their turn to use money to buy things at our store we will be creating. I will be using
large props for visual aid and discuss the meanings. I will briefly address the values. To get a
feel for what the students already know.
Require Learner Participation:
I will ask simple questions about what the coins look like and their worth.
Evaluation:
I will ask the students to write down something they learned and something they already
knew before the lesson is over.
