Recruited to lead and advise a team of twelve teachers in an under-performing educational system
with particular emphasis on the Special Education department. Work to ensure compliant practices
regarding the individualized needs of students within the program, while facilitating consistent
communication between the student, their parents, educators, and the administration. Provide case
management and data analysis for the school system in order to foster educational and administrative
improvement.
Key contribution: Created an effective system of training new employees on the most-effective
business practices surrounding IEP management, documentation, and planning.
BUNCOMBE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS—BLACK MOUNTAIN, NC 2010-2011
Intensive Intervention Teacher
Provided education to 9th-12th grade students with diverse cognitive, physical, and behavioral needs.
Instructed the Occupational Course of Study while conducting case management of IEPs,
collaborating with general education teachers and administration to collect and analyze data to
evaluate the progress of our students over time. Served on several faculty committees as a special
