Teaching Philosophy:
My teaching philosophy is nontraditional and brings different methodologies; especially the one that scholars consider hostile or
mutually exclusive. I am a teacher with a passion for getting highest levels of performance from students. As a critical thinker,
critical theory and connoisseurship are actually complementary to each other and with the implementations of practical applications.
Critical thinking has taught me the value of synthesizing various approaches for implementation, interpretation and understanding
for absorption of information for students. Also, my past workforce experiences have prepared me for teaching courses in public
policy, management, business and government. It is my belief that students who are exposed to many different approaches find
course material easier to understand.
In essence, my philosophy of teaching takes applicable approaches to learning. One of many aspects to practical teaching
philosophy is to recognize inherent learning differences of respective students. My goal is to apply diverse methodologies in order to
connect with these students while challenging them to learn how to learn.
I believe there are optimum benefits for these approaches; students gain knowledge through social-expressions, attitudes and
limitless boundaries. I am most comfortable teaching a variety of theories and methods that will provide students with greater
insights. Most importantly, I strongly believe in the power of an enthusiastic teacher. If having a philosophy of teaching precedes
my desire to teach, then having a desire to teach precedes my desire to learn.
