 ROUTINE (3’)
Purpose: to let students know that the lesson is about to start
T: Hello everyone, how are you?

T: Have you been thinking about the presentations?
SS: Yes/No...

Transition: Ok, time to work
 WARM-UP (10’)
Purpose: to reactive knowledge from the previous lesson
T: Ok, who can tell me what we talked about last lesson?
SS: ...
T: Good, we talked about National Parks. Which ones? Does someone anyone remember?
SS: ...
T: And what flora and fauna can we find in them? What kind of activities can we do?
SS: ...
T: What can you tell about the Appalachian Trail? Is it easy to get lost?
SS: ...

Transition: Ok, now gather your things and let’s go to the computer lab (in case we cannot use
the computer lab, mobile phones will be used).
 PRESENTATION (10’-15’)
Purpose: to revise the Power Point presentation, pamphlets and points they should focus on.
T will show students the Power Point presentation example and the pamphlets again to refresh
their memories and help them in the process.
T: Ok, who can tell me what a pamphlet should contain?
SS: ...
T: Good. And looking at these examples, do you think they are appealing? Have they got
information that might not be so important?
SS: ...
T: Ok, and what do you think about the PP presentation? Do you think it is well organized? Does it
have too much information? Take your notes on how a PP presentation should look like and tell
me what is wrong with this one.
SS: ...
T: These are just some examples, it is not strictly necessary that you do your presentations exactly
the same.
SAMPLES (pamphlet and PowerPoint –what they shouldn’t do–):

Transition: Now, look at the information you brought from home and start planning your PP
presentations and pamphlets. Take into consideration the example we did last class on Nahuel
Huapi’s National Park.
(In case we cannot use the computer lab, students will plan their pamphlets in paper and their PP
presentations on cardboard I’ll have to talk to the teacher and see if the school has materials or
if I should ask students to bring them, but tomorrow I’ll find out if I have the computer lab
available. If not, students will have to bring photos as well to make the pamphlets and posters)
 DEVELOPMENT (40’)
Activity 1:
Purpose: to start the preparation process
Students start working on the computers and start planning their presentations. T will walk around
the classroom and help students when needed.
(In case is complicated for them to print a copy of the pamphlets, they will be allowed to put it at
the end of the PP presentation).
Transition: Very interesting and nice ideas.
Interaction Patterns: S-S
Comentario [A5]: It is quite a long
time. Encourage them to use the language
and to stay focused on the task.
Tell them how much time they have.
Comentario [A6]: I think that a digital
version is fair enough.
 CLOSURE (10’)
Purpose: to let students know the lesson is about to finish.
T: Ok class, you have ten minutes left. So start rounding up your things.
Transition: If you haven’t finished you’ll have to do it at home.

For those who haven’t finished, they will have to do it as homework.

previous lessons. The same goes for the closure stage.

SS: Yes/No... Interaction Patterns: T-S Transition: Ok, time to work  WARM-UP (10’) Purpose: to reactive knowledge from the previous lesson T: Ok, who can tell me what we talked about last lesson? SS: ... T: Good, we talked about National Parks. Which ones? Does someone anyone remember? SS: ... T: And what flora and fauna can we find in them? What kind of activities can we do? SS: ... T: What can you tell about the Appalachian Trail? Is it easy to get lost? SS: ...   • 3. the computer lab, mobile phones will be used).  PRESENTATION (10’-15’) Purpose: to revise the Power Point presentation, pamphlets and points they should focus on. T will show students the Power Point presentation example and the pamphlets again to refresh their memories and help them in the process. T: Ok, who can tell me what a pamphlet should contain? SS: ... T: Good. And looking at these examples, do you think they are appealing? Have they got information that might not be so important? SS: ... T: Ok, and what do you think about the PP presentation? Do you think it is well organized? Does it have too much information? Take your notes on how a PP presentation should look like and tell me what is wrong with this one. SS: ... T: These are just some examples, it is not strictly necessary that you do your presentations exactly the same.   • 4. Interaction Patterns: T-S Transition: Now, look at the information you brought from home and start planning your PP presentations and pamphlets. Take into consideration the example we did last class on Nahuel Huapi’s National Park. (In case we cannot use the computer lab, students will plan their pamphlets in paper and their PP presentations on cardboard I’ll have to talk to the teacher and see if the school has materials or if I should ask students to bring them, but tomorrow I’ll find out if I have the computer lab available. If not, students will have to bring photos as well to make the pamphlets and posters)  DEVELOPMENT (40’) Activity 1: Purpose: to start the preparation process Students start working on the computers and start planning their presentations. T will walk around the classroom and help students when needed. (In case is complicated for them to print a copy of the pamphlets, they will be allowed to put it at the end of the PP presentation). Transition: Very interesting and nice ideas. Interaction Patterns: S-S Comentario [A5]: It is quite a long time. Encourage them to use the language and to stay focused on the task.   • 5.  CLOSURE (10’) Purpose: to let students know the lesson is about to finish. T: Ok class, you have ten minutes left. So start rounding up your things. Transition: If you haven’t finished you’ll have to do it at home. Interaction Patterns: T-S  HOMEWORK For those who haven’t finished, they will have to do it as homework.
