Career Summary:
• More than 30 years experience in private and public sector as Project Manager, and Technical Committee
Chairman, for various projects in the private sector and for the Saline Water Conversion Corporation
(SWCC) and Ministry of Water & Electricity projects, including desalination and power plant associated
marine works, oil un-loading jetty seawater intake and discharge channels. Pump houses, pipeline
construction, housing compounds, schools, concrete re-habilitation works, SWCC clinic, Sewage treatment
plant etc. with broad range of managerial responsibilities Consultancy and supervision, monitoring and
project controls as well as design review, review of shop drawings and process their recommendations and
approval etc.
• Participation and co-ordination with the international consultants like, Durtchhanom ,Khatib Alamy, ILF,
Fitchner, Ewbank Precee Power & Water Ltd, from preliminary study stage and review of technical
specification for Desalination & Power Plants and Water Transmission system , Housing Projects, and

a). Jeddah City – Sewage Network Project (Main Lines):
• Construction of 200 kilometer long sewage main lines of dia 400mm – 2500mm, including
micro – tunneling / pipe jacking works.
b). Jeddah City – Sewage Network Project (Branch Lines).
• Construction of 2100 kilometer branch sewage network covering entire Central and
Northern districts of Jeddah City, pipeline dia varies from 200mm to 800mm.
• (11) Eleven Contractor (12) Material suppliers are involved in these projects.
Project Cost: 250 Million Saudi Riyals.
Position: Director General Project Execution in Ministry of Water and Electricity – Jeddah.
Consultants: ILF-Austria and Khatib & Alami-Lebanon
Duties / Responsibilities:
• Overall responsible for project monitoring, project controls, re-design and construction
management, quality assurance & quality control and approval of interim & final payment
applications (invoices) for the completed contracts.
• Conducting progress review meetings, co-ordination meetings with Consultants, Contractors
and other Government Departments Managers.
Involved in the following projects from preliminary design stage review till execution, commissioning and
final taking over.

Duties / Responsibilities:
Includes complete site inspection and supervision of all construction activities, Monitoring Programs and
Progress of works. Management of supervision team including reviews of all layout drawings, shop
drawings, material submittals / approvals, program and progress, monthly payment certificates, Variation
Orders, conducting meeting and taking appropriate technical decisions and reporting the projects status to
Head office in Riyadh.
Shoiba Housing Projects from 2002 to 2004:
Project: Shaoiba Housing compound Part A & B comprising (3) three story apartment building 30
no's with 3 big schools building with all infrastructure facilities
Project Cost: 210 million Saudi Riyals.
Position: Technical Committee Chairman.
Consultants: This project has been executed directly under the supervision of SWCC Technical Committee
Chairman with engineering staff, (No supervision consultants).
Duties / Responsibilities:
Site inspection and supervision of all construction activities, Monitoring Programs and Progress of works.
Management of supervision team including reviews of all layout drawings, shop drawings, material
submittals / approvals, program and progress, monthly payment certificates, Variation Orders, conducting
meeting and taking appropriate technical decisions and reporting the projects status to Head office in
Riyadh, including supervision of infrastructure works i.e. roads, water supply and sewage network etc.
Concrete Rehabilitation Project from 2000 to 2002:
Project: Power transmission over-head line concrete foundation re-habilitation project. Shoiba to
Makkah 80 kilometers long.
Project Cost: 10 million Saudi Riyals.
Position: Technical Committee Chairman.
Consultants: Saudi Cowi Consult -Denmark.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Monitoring and inspection of works supervised by consultants, conducting progress review meetings with
consultant & contractor.
Review and approval of work procedures / method statements and material submittals.
Note: This project has been executed on energized (live)110kv power transmission line.
Shoiba – Jeddah Water Transmission system from 1995 to 2000:.
Project: 162 kilometer long, Shoiba – Jeddah water transmission system: 60" dia carbon steel
pipeline with 2-valve stations and up-grading of existing pump station from Shoaiba to
Makkah, including construction of main Pump station at Shoaiba.

Position: Construction Manager.
Consultants: This project has been executed directly under the supervision of SWCC Technical Committee
Chairman with engineering staff, (No supervision consultants).
Duties / Responsibilities:
To assist chairman in all pipeline project construction activities, monitoring programs and progress of
works, management of site supervision team of engineers.
Review and approval of pumping stations layout, construction drawings, material submittals, payment
certificates and variation order.
Conducting progress & technical meetings and taking appropriate technical decision.
Shoiba Desalination and power plant, Phase-II from 1992 to 1995:
Project: 100 MGD / 500 MW Desalination and power plant, including fuel oil un-loading jetty and
other associated heavy marine engineering works.
Project Cost: 3.4 Billion Saudi Riyals.
Position: Head of Civil Engineering Department.
Consultants: EWBANK Price Water & Power Ltd.- U.K.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Involved in all inspection & construction management activities, supervision of all civil works of
Desalination & Power Plant and its associated buildings, structures and marine works. i.e construction of
150 meter high chimneys, massive concreting of turbine foundations, boiler foundations, sea water intake
structures. 6x144,000 cubic meter water storage tanks, multi storied control room building and all
infrastructure works of power & Desalination Plants including oil un-loading jetty of 100,000 DWT.
Review and approval soil investigation reports, soil improvements methods & its approval.
Note: After completion of major civil works promoted as construction manager for Shoiba-Jeddah Water
Transmission system project.
Madina - Yanbu Desalination and power plants - Phase-II from 1991 to 1992:
Project: 60 million gallon per day / 164 MW desalination and power plant Madina-Yanbu Phase-II.
Project Cost: 700 Million US$.

Jubail – Riyadh water transmission system from 1980 to 1985:
Project: Construction of 60" dia (carbon steel pipe), two parallel lines of 466 kilometer each and
Riyadh City feeding lines, dia 2000mm of total length 132km to transfer 980,000m3 of water
per day.
Project cost: 1.60 billion USD.
