Some of the modern used techniques in education:
To Sum it Up:
Approach deals with general philosophies of teaching;
Method is a systematic way, procedural, well planned, step-by
step procedure to achieve the desire outcomes.
Strategy is a set of decisions on what learning activities to
employ to achieve the learning objectives.
Techniques as an integrated organization that includes a set of
material, devices, tools and educational attitudes that the
teacher uses to clarify an idea or to change a vague concept in
order to contribute to a better state of the educational process.

MODERN TEACHING
CATEGORIES OF TEACHING
METHODS
Those who learned more gave their teachers higher
ratings (Cohen, 1981; Theall and Franklin, 2001).
“Tell me, I forget. Show me, I remember. Involve me, I
understand.”
1. LECTURE METHOD
2. DISCUSSION METHOD
3. INQUIRY-BASED METHOD
4. COOPERATIVE LEARNING METHOD
5. PROJECT-BASED LEARNING METHOD
#1 LECTURE
METHOD
-known as the transmissive method, is based on vertical
learning, whereby the teacher has all the knowledge – the
“know-how” – which they transmit to the students.
- Example, the teacher communicates their knowledge in the
form of a presentation, like a university lecture, while the
students take notes.
#2.DISCUSSION
METHOD
-Variety of forums for open-ended, collaborative exchange of
ideas among a teacher and students or among students for
the purpose of furthering students thinking,
learning,problem solving, understanding, or literary
appreciation.
- Example may occur among members of a dyad, small group,
or whole class and be teacher-led or student-led.
#3.INQUIRY-BASED
METHOD
- is a student-centered approach where the instructor guides
the students through questions posed, methods designed, and
data interpreted by the students.
-Through inquiry, students actively discover information to
support their investigations.
-Examples are Science Experiments. Field Trips,Classroom Debates,
Projects, Group Work.
- #4.COOPERATIVE
LEARNING METHOD
-Involves pupils working together on activities or learning tasks in
a group small enough to ensure that everyone participates.
-Pupils in the group may work on separate tasks contributing to a
common overall outcome, or work together on a shared task.
Example; Peer support, groups working in teams on a common goal,
students sharing resources to ensure everyone succeeds, and students
testing one another to check for knowledge.
# 5.PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
METHOD
-teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills
by working for an extended period of time to investigate and
respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex question,
problem, or challenge.
-Example of a one-to-one computing project would be having your
students create a website where they research the topic, develop
the content, and design the layout for their website.
