WORKSHOP B: 9:00AM TO 12:00PM Setting a Mobile Money Operation Up for
Take-off: Breaking from Establishment & into the Coveted Path to Maturity
Few mobile money operations survive what is referred to as the establishment
stage. Many more try to jump from establishment to the more complex
elements of a mature ecosystem without fixing the basics of establishment.
They surely die. The real hard work, confusion, and more often than not,
chaos, is prevalent at establishment. It is the very reason most operations try
to avoid it without knowing, with devastating and costly results. During the
workshop, we uncover what must be done right at establishment; have the
discipline to resist the lure of the“bright potential”but also stay focused on
what must be laid down as the clear path to maturity and beyond.
KEY TOPICS TO DISCUSS:
• Breaking down the“Establishment”and the ingredients of a strong mobile
money ecosystem foundation
• The discipline of“customer centricity”in the mobile money sense
• Knowing when it’s time for take-off, and who you must carry along, what
you must do
• The typical Mobile Money Innovation roadmap (so far), and the key drivers
• Building strong business development skill internally in preparation for
barrier breaking

Mobile wallets are a new concept in South East Asia region and are currently still being introduced to the market. Lack of standardised process and implemented
solutions are obstructing the way, yet it offers various opportunities and growth potential for early movers.

WHO WILL YOU MEET
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Come and be part of what has become the quintessential event on mobile
money in APAC, IBC’s 4th Annual Mobile Wallet Conference. We will start by
providing updates on the initiatives and the startups that presented in past
years and dive into transformation strategies to capitalise on advancements in
the mobile money space, allowing you to energise sales without additional risk.
You’ll be able to listen to industry leaders and challenge them in an open forum.
View case studies across a range of varied industries to provide you with ideas
on what you could be doing today to change your business. Network with both
customers and vendors to put together a truly compelling offer for both your
existing and new markets.
The 2016 conference will take place on September 26th through the 29th at the
Millennium Hotel Sirih, located in Jakarta.
On behalf of the organising committee, it would be a pleasure and honor to
have you join us.
