Social Architecture - Raising the Bar for our ProfessionLuc Galoppin
In this session, Luc Galoppin will argue that in order to advance as a profession, change management itself needs to change.
We can no longer rely on hierarchical, compliance-driven approaches to driving change initiatives, Luc will argue, and need to embrace a new perspective – ‘Social Architecture’ – if we are to reach our full potential.
Social Architecture focuses on communities and ‘tribes’ which cut across traditional organisational and hierarchical boundaries. Letting go of control, Luc believes, and shifting from an emphasis on explicit knowledge to trust, connection and co-creation will be key to the future of change management.
Using innovative hand-drawn diagrams, and drawing on his experience of ERP implementations across varied settings, Luc will explain how Social Architecture requires a mindset shift from managing change at the project level to creating platforms for connection, knowledge sharing and co-creation. The legacy we leave behind, Luc believes, should create lasting capability to deal with future change at the organisational level – “Teaching people how to fish so they can eat forever.”
The 5 Things You Need to Know About ResistanceLuc Galoppin
With this e-book I offer an alternative to the way we have been taught to treat resistance. To summarize what this e-book is about:
1. Resistance is a good thing; it’s the energy that fuels change;
2. It’s about emotions, and in the first place: your own;
3. It’s about relations, first on trust and then on agreement;
4. It’s about platforms - a platform for emotions; not a burning platform;
5. It is about you - up close and personal.
I hope you will enjoy reading this e-book as much as I did making it.
Taxonomy of change models slideshare 201703Mark Simpson
Having worked in change environments for many years and used a wide range of change models for many different types of change we found it useful to collate and categorise models for ease of reference. We have used four types of classification:
Contextual – broader strategic or macro models that can be helpful in understand a context of change, or support for change - Nadler and Tushman, congruence model being an example
High level change model – change specific models, but at a broader, sometimes even conceptual model - Carnall, change management model as an example
Actionable Model – detailed, with defined stages and actions, for example Accelerating Implementation Methodology (AIM) Change Management Methodology
Supporting – models that underpin our approach to change, they can apply to specific elements of change or help to understand certain elements, for example - Beckhard and Harris, change formula

Social Media for Social Change
Can agencies supporting inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities magnify their message and impact by contributing to and learning from engagement in social media networks?
As people with intellectual disabilities continue on their journey toward full inclusion in their communities, agencies must adapt their communications strategies to appeal and engage a wider audience.
LiveWorkPlay, one of the smallest (by budget) agencies in an urban community of 1,000,000 has utilized social media as a critical component in a broader communications strategy.

Unlocking the Power of Community to Enable Change
TOPICS:
1. How to rewire your change efforts using existing communities within your organization
2. How to build relationships and help people move from being consumers to producers of change
3. Finding balance between hierarchy and community by making conscious use of the white spaces between the boxes of your organizational chart to support transformation

How can social media support you in your Me Inc journey?Luc Galoppin
How can social media support you in your Me Inc journey? That's a wrong question. The point is that we can no longer afford not to engage in social media. Being a Me Inc means that you are your own HR manager and social media is currently changing our business landscape in a way that calls for Me Incs to stand up and rise to the occasion.
This one is for all of us who want to endeavor in the domain of change management and take their profession as seriously as I do. If we want to avoid the ‘wellness’ stamp or the ‘nice-to-have’ connotation, we better get our act together!
The ‘act’ to my opinion is composed of four pillars, or ‘containers of work’ as I often refer to them. In the context of a project or a program these are ’streams’ that last from the startup until the very last phase of a project. Each of these project streams has a benefit that is defined in terms of the project’s return on investment.
The resemblances be-tween communication and traffic are inexhaustible. This makes it possible, for instance, to talk about driving habits, traffic signals, or even traffic jams and sneak or by-pass routes.
But before we start talking about a cockpit, let’s start at the beginning, namely those things that you must learn in the communications driving school, before you start off on the road.
Some thoughts on Change…or… Why I believe you should really, really, really read the book ‘Who Moved My Cheese’ by Spencer Johnson. I did this presentation on a Friday-afternoon session of an IT department that is about to radically change their skill-sets from AS-400 towards SAP over the years to come.
So the way I delivered this presentation was rather ‘light’ but the message in there hit its target nevertheless!
95% of the population worries about change. The remaining 5% are managers who wish to implement change. Imagine your relief if there was such a thing as a recipe for successful change management. No more doubts, everyone would be motivated and production wouldn’t be at risk. The cooking class in this slide deck may not guarantee you a Michelin star, but if applied properly, you will save yourself a lot of time and worries.

Antibiotic Stewardship by Anushri Srivastava.pptxAnushriSrivastav
Stewardship is the act of taking good care of something.
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
WHO launched the Global Antimicrobial Resistance and Use Surveillance System (GLASS) in 2015 to fill knowledge gaps and inform strategies at all levels.
ACCORDING TO apic.org,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
ACCORDING TO pewtrusts.org,
Antibiotic stewardship refers to efforts in doctors’ offices, hospitals, long term care facilities, and other health care settings to ensure that antibiotics are used only when necessary and appropriate
According to WHO,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a systematic approach to educate and support health care professionals to follow evidence-based guidelines for prescribing and administering antimicrobials
In 1996, John McGowan and Dale Gerding first applied the term antimicrobial stewardship, where they suggested a causal association between antimicrobial agent use and resistance. They also focused on the urgency of large-scale controlled trials of antimicrobial-use regulation employing sophisticated epidemiologic methods, molecular typing, and precise resistance mechanism analysis.
Antimicrobial Stewardship(AMS) refers to the optimal selection, dosing, and duration of antimicrobial treatment resulting in the best clinical outcome with minimal side effects to the patients and minimal impact on subsequent resistance.
According to the 2019 report, in the US, more than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur each year, and more than 35000 people die. In addition to this, it also mentioned that 223,900 cases of Clostridoides difficile occurred in 2017, of which 12800 people died. The report did not include viruses or parasites
