ABC Bank, a pioneer in mobile banking, aims to leverage technology for efficient service delivery, in line with RBI guidelines issued in 2008 which allow domestic transactions up to Rs. 50,000. The bank plans to utilize SERVQUAL tool to analyze customer expectations versus perceptions and engage a cross-functional team to design a competitive m-banking offering. With increasing smartphone adoption and rising transaction volumes, the bank intends to target both urban and rural customers, despite challenges such as network connectivity and security concerns.
