White Paper: IoT Security – Protecting the Networked SocietyEricsson
The Internet of Things (IoT) is expanding rapidly, and is expected to comprise 18 billion connected devices by 2022. But the assumptions of trust which formed the backdrop to the early development of the internet no longer apply in the early stages of IoT development. Privacy and security concerns are ever increasing, especially given the growing significance of IoT in corporate, government, and critical infrastructure contexts. Likewise, the commodification of IoT components incorporated across diverse product ranges and deployed in both managed and unmanaged use cases brings significant security challenges and creates potential for novel types of attack. The proactive cooperation of all key stakeholders will be necessary to realize the considerable economic benefits of the IoT, while protecting security, safety, and privacy.

This overview is a compilation of my own storytelling experiences over the past 9 years, first assisting clients designing M2M devices and helping them navigate the carrier certification process, then aligning with emerging Middleware/IOT Cloud platform providers early in 2011. Since then I've consulted and assisted companies across many IOT market verticals and have delivered keynotes to many audiences including enterprises, Tier 2 and Tier 3 service providers, MSO's and Utility companies on how to deploy a carrier grade IOT service delivery model for the creation of new MRR models across all market verticals. Whether you are attempting to enter the market by aligning with an existing IOT ECO-System provider like AWS or would like to create your own, I hope you find this thought provoking and informative as we carve our way into the wild, wild future of digital transformation.
XR and the Future of Immersive TechnologyVincent Lau
Extended Reality (XR) is an umbrella term for Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Mixed Reality (MR), and any other kind of immersive technology. In just the last 5 years alone, XR has seen rapid adoption and development of immersive applications that are used in many sectors from Edutainment to Medical. Looking at the state of XR today, let us compare the differences between the various immersive technologies to understand their current limitations and the sectors that they are poised to disrupt. As we begin a new year with hope of a global recovery from the pandemic, we observe some key trends in XR development that will determine the future of immersive technology in the post-COVID world.
What were the big trends at MWC17? What are the things you need to be aware of to stay successful?
Here’s a quick summary on the big trends and insights from Mobile World Congress 2017 based on hundreds of interviews, tours, presentations and announcements.
I had a speech and panel discussion at 15th Iran Media Technology Conference, focused on "IoT Impacts in the Media Industry Transformation"
Internet of Things (IoT) will be the biggest influence on our global life and business impact all industries in next few years and decades. IoT is providing business benefits, such as operational efficiency and workforce productivity. So that, McKinsey Global Institute estimates IoT could have an annual economic impact of $11.1T by 2025.
However, we still have a lot to learn about IoT multi-dimensional phenomenon and we are in the middle of shaping a better world for the next generation IoT Evolution. The Internet of Things 2.0 will be a mediatic pulse between 5G networks (as the key IoT Platform in near future) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and therefore, the IoT 2.0 is expected to bring tremendous transformation in media industry. As social media is the main use case in 3G & 4G Networks, IoT 2.0 will redefine media concepts and businesses in our digital lifestyle!
Industry 4.0 is a name given to the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. It includes cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things, cloud computing and cognitive computing. Industry 4.0 is commonly referred to as the fourth industrial revolution.
IoT-Where is the Money? - Chandrashekar Raman, Engagement Manager, IoT Strate...Lounge47
“Internet of Things (IoT) – Where is the Money?” - This talk highlighted the need for innovative business and technical models. Top 5 key takeaways from the session: 1) Analyze business models from the perspective of targeting “control points” (allows disproportionate share of value e.g. platform), “network externalities” (users generate more users e.g. facebook) and “virtuous cycle” (self-propogating value system e.g. Twitter: tweets generating more, value, tweeters and users) 2) Fog computing (solutions at the edge of the network) should be considered for "time sensitive" or "mission critical" solutions 3) IoT Stats 2013: $1.7B funding, 186 deals, 30% up YOY, 75% up on exits, largely in platforms; Cisco estimates 50B connected devices by 2020, economic value of 19 trillion added in next decade 4) Manufacturing and Smart Cities most immediate opportunities in Enterprise space 5) Key Challenges are security and time-sensitive networking. In summary, IoT Startups focused in a hot space need to pick clever business models relative to the competition.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
