Mini Case Studies
1. Mini Case Studies: Program Overview
This booklet contains fun, role-playing mini-case studies that put you in the position of
board directors facing complex decisions. Sometimes you will work alone, sometimes in
pairs, and sometimes in larger groups.
The goal of this booklet is to let you practice and develop business common sense. This
booklet contains case studies covering a wide range of business issues, such as: relocating
manufacturing operations overseas, developing marketing plans, & introducing an HR policy
that retains top talented employees.
Many of the case studies in this program are based on real research. So in addition to
building vocabulary skills and business sense, you will be learning real facts and real
business trends.
During this program participants will have plenty of chances to make mini-presentations to
other classes. Most importantly, everyone will need to develop the best business plans
possible within a short period of time. And you will need to explain and defend your
decisions to other group members.
By the end of this 24 session, everyone will know which employees have the greatest
business logic, and which the least. These case studies contain both weak and strong
strategies to choose from. It will be up to you discover which ones are best!
