P& ID (PIPING & INSTRUMENT DIAGRAM)
Pipa : media tempat mengalirnya fluida proses dari suatu unit
yang satu kelainnya. Secara umum karakteristiknya ditentukan
berdasar material (bahan) pennyusunnya. Ukuran diameterpipa
didasarkan pada diameter “nominal” antara diameter luar (od)
atau diameter dalam (id).
Tubing : adalah pipa dengan ukuran diameter yang lebih kecil
dari pipa proses. Kegunaannya (secara umum) adalah
penghubung antara alat ukur (instrumen) dengan pipa proses
dan dari instrumen ke sistem kontrol. Ukuran standart diameter
untuk tubing selalu diameter luar (od).
Tujuan dari perancangan perpipaan secara umum :
Material seperti apa yang sesuai dengan kondisi kerja (tekanan
external/internal, suhu, korosi, SERING DISEBUT DG RATING PIPA)
Standard Code mana yang sesuai untuk diaplikasikan pada sistem perpipaan
yang akan dirancang. Pemilihan standard code yang benar akan menentukan
arah perancangan secara keseluruhan, baik dari segi biaya, reliabilitas, safety
design, dan stress analisis.
Perhitungan dan pemilihan ketebalan pipa. Pemilihan ketebalan pipa
(schedule number) sebaiknya memenuhi kriteria cukup, aman, dan
ketersediaan stok di pasaran.
Dengan cara bagaimana sistem perpipaan akan dikoneksikan satu sama lain,
jenis sambungan, dan material sambungan seperti apa yang sesuai.
Bagaimana planning dan routing dari sistem perpipaan akan dilakukan.
General arrangement, dan routing sebaiknya dilakukan dengan memperhatikan
aspek inherent safety design, konsumsi pipa seminimum mungkin tanpa
mengorbankan dan mengurangi kemampuan, fungsi dan operasional dari
peralatan yang terkoneksi.

Standart Diamter
NPS: Nominal Pipe Size, diameter, ID) satuannya Inchi (pendekatan
dalam bentuk diameter bagian dalam (inside dari pipa).
DN: Diameter Nominal, digunakan oleh Negara di daratan Eropa,
dengan satuan milimeter.
Sch atau Schedule. Schedule (skedul) adalah menunjukan ukuran
ketebalan dinding pipa atau wall-thickness (seringkali merupakan data
ID dan wall thickness)
Sebagai tambahan beberapa standart memberikan metode untuk
menentukan ketebalan suatu pipa. Salah satu cara yang umum adalah
dinyatakan dengan beratnya yang diklasifikasikan sebagai berikut,
 STD-Standard atau Standart Weight untuk tebal dinding
normal pada tekanan pipa 150 psi
 XS-Extra strong atau Extra Heavy dengan tekanan diatas 300
psi
 XXS - Double extra strong untuk tekanan diatas 600 psi

An Offset means a combination of pipes and/or
fittings that brings one section of the pipe out of
line but into a line, parallel with the other section
A pipe cap is a fitting with a female (inside) thread.
It is used like a plug, except that the pipe cap
screws on the male thread of a pipe or nipple.
Pipe Plugs/Sewer Pipe Plugs are designed to
provide a quick and simple means to perform a
variety of jobs such as stopping flow in a pipeline
(for maintenance or repair),

members while allowing some degree of
angular or parallel misalignment.
An Eccentric reducer, also called a Bell reducer, has
two female (inside) threads of different sizes with
centers so designed that when they are joined, the two
pieces of pipe are not in line with each other, but they
can be installed so as to provide optimum drainage of
the line.
Cross / 4-Way Fittings:
Cross fittings connect four pipe sections
together. Crosses may have solvent weld socket
ends or female threaded ends (no female
threads available for PVC).
Pipe Return / Trap:
It is a pipe fitting that holds water to prevent entry
of sewer gases. A Trap or Return is a U or S
shaped equipment that inverses the direction of
the pipe

  • 2. Pipa : media tempat mengalirnya fluida proses dari suatu unit yang satu kelainnya. Secara umum karakteristiknya ditentukan berdasar material (bahan) pennyusunnya. Ukuran diameterpipa didasarkan pada diameter “nominal” antara diameter luar (od) atau diameter dalam (id). Tubing : adalah pipa dengan ukuran diameter yang lebih kecil dari pipa proses. Kegunaannya (secara umum) adalah penghubung antara alat ukur (instrumen) dengan pipa proses dan dari instrumen ke sistem kontrol. Ukuran standart diameter untuk tubing selalu diameter luar (od).
  • 3. Tujuan dari perancangan perpipaan secara umum : Material seperti apa yang sesuai dengan kondisi kerja (tekanan external/internal, suhu, korosi, SERING DISEBUT DG RATING PIPA) Standard Code mana yang sesuai untuk diaplikasikan pada sistem perpipaan yang akan dirancang. Pemilihan standard code yang benar akan menentukan arah perancangan secara keseluruhan, baik dari segi biaya, reliabilitas, safety design, dan stress analisis. Perhitungan dan pemilihan ketebalan pipa. Pemilihan ketebalan pipa (schedule number) sebaiknya memenuhi kriteria cukup, aman, dan ketersediaan stok di pasaran. Dengan cara bagaimana sistem perpipaan akan dikoneksikan satu sama lain, jenis sambungan, dan material sambungan seperti apa yang sesuai. Bagaimana planning dan routing dari sistem perpipaan akan dilakukan. General arrangement, dan routing sebaiknya dilakukan dengan memperhatikan aspek inherent safety design, konsumsi pipa seminimum mungkin tanpa mengorbankan dan mengurangi kemampuan, fungsi dan operasional dari peralatan yang terkoneksi.
  • 4.
