It includes ideas for the magazine's name, target audience, price, masthead design, headlines, images, and conventions. The target audience is identified as mainly middle to lower class individuals in socioeconomic groups C1 through E. Ideas are presented for the magazine's name, color scheme, positioning of elements, fonts, headlines, images, price, promotions, and social media integration. The next steps outlined are to purchase an inspirational magazine, observe other magazines in stores, and organize props and software for creating the front cover in Photoshop.
This magazine cover targets a young female audience aged 10-13 years old from a lower social class. This is evident through the use of bright pink and yellow colours, cartoon-like images of girls' clothes, and child-friendly themes. The magazine uses modern technology references like a heart to convey "love" to appeal to its target audience. The large bold fonts, bright colours, and overlapping images are used to grab attention and highlight the main story.
This magazine cover uses bright colours like pink and yellow along with child-friendly themes and designs to appeal to its target audience of young females aged 10+. The large masthead and attention-grabbing headlines help draw the reader's eyes to the main stories. The magazine's layout is cluttered but helps show there is a lot of content for readers.
1. The magazine cover uses conventions of real magazines such as a masthead, cover lines, and barcode but differs in some ways. The masthead does not span the full width of the page and there are no sell lines. The background is grungy rather than plain.
2. The contents page is designed to stand out with a fresh style inspired by Vibe magazine. It features captions to identify articles and a "subscribe now" section. There are fewer pages focused on content than a real magazine.
3. The double-page article spread uses conventions like a raised first letter and consistent color theme but lacks a sub-heading and multiple images to create a mysterious tone. The background continues the g
The document outlines key elements to include on magazine front covers and contents pages such as the masthead, issue number, images, headlines, and price. It also discusses design considerations like using graphics, headlines in capital letters, and including teasers to attract readers and encourage purchases. The purpose is to effectively showcase content and draw in the target audience through visual elements and short descriptions on the cover and contents pages.
This document provides research and planning for an ancillary product, a TV magazine front cover, by a student named Claire Olney. It discusses the history, circulation, and target audience of the magazine Inside Soap, which is the source of inspiration. Ideas are generated for the magazine's masthead including "SoapLatest", "SoapDisclosure", and "ExclusiveSoap". Fonts such as "Keep Calm" and images are considered to attract readers. Possible headlines use questions or buzz words to intrigue readers. The needs are outlined for main images of characters and cover lines featuring different soap operas.
This document analyzes the design elements of a magazine cover. It summarizes the font, colors, images, and layout used on the mock cover. The main coverline introduces the featured artist, Gracie, with her "mugshot" photo. Elements like the pink button and bold colors are meant to attract readers and portray an indie, alternative style. The direct eye contact of the cover image and red lips are intended to intrigue readers and match the edgy tone of the magazine's content.

"Rethinking Kållered │ From Big Box to a Reuse Hub: A Transformation Journey Toward Sustainability"
The booklet of my master’s thesis at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. (Gothenburg, Sweden)
This thesis explores the transformation of the vacated (2023) IKEA store in Kållered, Sweden, into a "Reuse Hub" addressing various user types. The project aims to create a model for circular and sustainable economic practices that promote resource efficiency, waste reduction, and a shift in societal overconsumption patterns.
Reuse, though crucial in the circular economy, is one of the least studied areas. Most materials with reuse potential, especially in the construction sector, are recycled (downcycled), causing a greater loss of resources and energy. My project addresses barriers to reuse, such as difficult access to materials, storage, and logistics issues.
Aims:
• Enhancing Access to Reclaimed Materials: Creating a hub for reclaimed construction materials for both institutional and individual needs.
• Promoting Circular Economy: Showcasing the potential and variety of reusable materials and how they can drive a circular economy.
• Fostering Community Engagement: Developing spaces for social interaction around reuse-focused stores and workshops.
• Raising Awareness: Transforming a former consumerist symbol into a center for circular practices.
Highlights:
• The project emphasizes cross-sector collaboration with producers and wholesalers to repurpose surplus materials before they enter the recycling phase.
• This project can serve as a prototype for reusing many idle commercial buildings in different scales and sizes.
• The findings indicate that transforming large vacant properties can support sustainable practices and present an economically attractive business model with high social returns at the same time.
• It highlights the potential of how sustainable practices in the construction sector can drive societal change.

the title.
Model image – this shows a medium shot of Kelly Rowland, in which she is
smiling, connoting happiness and her direct contact to the camera also connotes
friendliness to the reader. Her quite low dress and glowing skin, perfected hair
and appearance appeals to the male gaze, although the cover clearly implies
that this magazine is aimed towards the female gender, because of the female
clothing and accessories, and colours used on the front cover. Janice Winship
also stated that the woman's face hallmark showed young, white
females, although this cover shows that this statement has changed over the
years, as other ethnicities have been more included in our modern day
society, and many are seen as iconic figures, such as Kelly Rowland.
The issue number and price of this magazine is hidden on this
cover, with it being stated at the bottom of the page next to the barcode.
This is useful if you know that a few brands of magazines place the price
here, but if you did not know this it would not be helpful to the reader as
it does not stand out. Although the fact that the price is not clearly
shown, does not stand out, because this magazine attracts its audiences’
attention by its bright colours and images, so it should not matter how
much the magazine is if the reader is interested in its contents.

the title, although I think the white does not stand
out very much against the light pink background, so
would be better if it was a darker colour to contrast
this.
The price of this magazine is clearly shown in a
dark pink circle overlapping the head mast of this
cover, which catches the readers attention straight

magazine is. This is useful as people always want to

12. Model image- this model is smiling, which suggests happiness and a

lipstick and make up, with a neat cropped hairstyle. The direct gaze
given from the model suggests genuine happiness and
confidence, which is what older people look for and like to be. The
colours surrounding the model are very natural, which relates to the
older age range, as women want to look youthful, glowing and
graceful, as well as looking natural.
