- 8. Challenges - Searching The difficulty of searching for a document, especially search specifically. For example: search for documents created in a period and by a particular customer, with descriptions, loan numbers and specific case.

- 1min 90 percent of the documents in a typical organization are merely unsorted/shuffled . 7.5 percent of all documents get lost and 3 percent of the remainder get misfiled. Professionals spend 5-15 percent of their time reading information, but up to 50 percent are looking for it. For every USD $1 spent to create a final document, USD $10 are spent to manage the document creation process. The cost of documents to corporations is estimated to be as much as 15% of their annual revenue. There are over 4 trillion paper documents in the U.S. alone – growing at a rate of 22 percent per year.

- Docuflo eCabinet is currently available to brokers and lenders to enable them to request and receive documents from their clients via a secure portal rather than by email or post. Documents are encrypted and stored in a secure cloud server. This alone will dramatically improve security of the personal financial data sent by customers, as well as provide a clear audit trail if there is any dispute at a later date. (i) evidence the underwriting of the risk of the loan, (ii) collect the results of the due diligence investigation of the collateral and the borrower and any guarantor, (iii) create a contractual claim as a secured creditor to legally enforce creditors rights and (iv) monitor the post-closing performance of the collateral and borrower/guarantor to re-assess the risk of the credit. In other words, a loan file is a living, complex and interrelated set of documents and data creating legal rights against the collateral and loan parties and evidence of compliance for the regulators. Today, data and documents are kept in separate systems and not synchronized. There are loan origination systems, core banking systems and loan servicing systems and, for many companies, Excel is still used that manage the data elements of the loan file. Typically, companies use unstructured share drives to store loan files for internal use. As loan files move from the originators to the secondary markets, virtual data rooms, Box and Dropbox are used to manage the due diligence and compliance reviews of loan files.
