• The role at present is reorganizing the commercial section of the design department of
a large rail company. Including producing change controls to the client, tendering and
leasing with the client on all commercial aspects.
• Experienced in all areas of the contracting, undertaking the full range of Contractor`s
Commercial functions from preparing `Builder`s Quantities`, Estimating, client
Negotiation, running live Contracts up to and including Final account settlement.
• Working on a variety of area’s from Rail contracts (cost recovery and fixed price
contracts) and Projects including traditional Building and Large building projects.
• Familiar with all types of standard QS measurement taking off inclining SMM6, SMM7
and CESM.
• The experience over the thirty years in the Construction/Rail industry enables me to
undertake the role of a Senior Surveyor covering a wide range of functions on behalf
of the Client or Contractor.
• Being able to liaise with client on valuation submission/measurement/final accounts
and reports on sub –contract from Initial site set up. Groundworks – Finishes.(all sub –
contract packages)
• Working on contracts such as JCT and NEC contracts
