Metro Ethernet has evolved to use Ethernet as a transport protocol over both local and wide area networks. It provides standardized services like E-Line, E-Lan, and E-Tree, which define point-to-point and multipoint Ethernet virtual connections. Ethernet has been widely deployed around the world in Local
Area Networks (LAN) until now. Native Ethernet packet data
increase over the LAN and Wide/Metropolitan Area Networks
(WAN/MAN) has resulted in strong standardization efforts to
use Ethernet as transport protocol. Metro Ethernet has evolved
with the following attributes: standardized services, scalability,
reliability, QoS, and service management.
MEF has defined several services:
• E-Line: Ethernet service that is based on a Point-to Point
Ethernet Virtual Connection
• E-Lan: Ethernet service that is based on a Multipoint-to-
Multipoint Ethernet Virtual Connection
• E-Tree: Ethernet service that is based on a Rooted Multipoint
Ethernet Virtual Connection
In this paper you are required to compare the delivery of L2-
VPN services over MEF based service definitions with MPLS
based L2-VPN (VPLS). Your paper should consider the
limitations and complexities of both approaches. The delivery
of traffic engineering should also be covered and you are
required to demonstrate and understanding of how TE is made
possible using PBB-TE and MPLS-TE.
Grading will be done as follows:
Comparison on MEF based L2-VPN services and MPLS VPLS

For the new wireless systems and beyond, the intelligent transportation system is considered as one of the main features that could be covered in the new research topics. Furthermore, both high-speed data transmission and data processing play a crucial role for these generations. Our work covers two main propositions in order to attain an improvement in such intelligent systems performance. A clustering algorithm is proposed and presented for grouping mobile nodes based on their speeds with some modified head assignments processes. This will be combined with a parallel-processing technique that enhances the QoS. Mainly, this work concerns enhancing the V2V data transmission and the processing speed. Thus, a wavelet processing stage has been imposed to optimize the transmitted power phenomenon. In order to check the validity of such proposition, five main efficiency factors have been investigated; namely complementary cumulative distributions, bit rates, energy efficiency, the lifetime of cluster head and the ordinary nodes reattaching-head average times.

Long term evolution (LTE) is replacing the 3G services slowly but steadily and become a preferred choice for data for human to human (H2H) services and now it is becoming preferred choice for voice also. In some developed countries the traditional 2G services gradually decommissioned from the service and getting replaced with LTE for all H2H services. LTE provided high downlink and uplink bandwidth capacity and is one of the technology like mobile ad hoc network (MANET) and vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) being used as the backbone communication infrastructure for vehicle networking applications. When Compared to VANET and MANET, LTE provides wide area of coverage and excellent infrastructure facilities for vehicle networking. This helps in transmitting the vehicle information to the operator and downloading certain information into the vehicle nodes (VNs) from the operators server. As per the ETSI publications the number of machine to machine communication (MTC) devices are expected to touch 50 billion by 2020 and this will surpass H2H communication. With growing congestion in the LTE network, accessing the network for any request from VN especially during peak hour is a big challenge because of the congestion in random access channel (RACH). In this paper we will analyse this RACH congestion problem with the data from the live network. Lot of algorithms are proposed for resolving the RACH congestion on the basis of simulation results so we would like to present some practical data from the live network to this issue to understand the extent RACH congestion issue in the real time scenario.

Due to rapid growth of multimedia traffic used over the mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs), to keep up with the progress of this constraint MANETs protocols becoming increasingly concerned with the quality of service. In view of the random mobility nodes in MANET, TCP becomes more unreliability in case of higher energy consumption and packet loss. In this paper we proposed a new optimization approach to enhance decision making of TCP based on some changes of IEEE 802.11 MAC uses cross layer approach. The aim is to minimize the impact of retransmissions of packet lost and energy consumption in order to analyse and chose the appropriate routing protocol for TCP that can be enhance QoS MANET. Our simulation results based QoS study using NS3 show that, our proposal achieved better performance of TCP in MANETs significantly, and also improved the throughput, energy consumption and facilitates the traffic transmission over routing protocol.
