MENTORING
 A relationship between two people with the goal of
professional and personal development. The
"mentor" is usually an experienced individual who
shares knowledge, experience, and advice with a less
experienced person, or "mentee.“
 Mentoring is to support and encourage people to
manage their own learning in order that they may
maximise their potential, develop their skills,
improve their performance and become the person
they want to be." Eric Parsloe, The Oxford School of
Coaching & Mentoring
 Mentoring is a relationship between two individuals
based on a mutual desire for development towards
career goals and objectives.

And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans
except they should worship Me (Alone). I seek not
any provision from them (i.e. provision for
themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that
they should feed Me. Verily, Allah is the All-
Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong.

O Yahya (John)! Hold fast the Scripture . And We
gave him wisdom while yet a child. And
sympathetic to men as a mercy from Us, and pure
from sins and he was righteous. And dutiful towards
his parents, and he was neither an arrogant nor
disobedient. And Salamun (peace) be on him the day
he was born, the day he dies, and the day he will be
raised up to life (again)!

Remember) when the young men fled for refuge to the Cave, they said:
"Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our
affair in the right way!”. We narrate unto you their story with truth: Truly!
They were young men who believed in their Lord, and We increased them
in guidance. And We made their hearts firm and strong (with the light of
Faith in Allah and bestowed upon them patience to bear the separation of
their kith and kin and dwellings, etc.) when they stood up and said: "Our
Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, never shall we call upon
any ilah (god) other than Him; if we did, we should indeed have uttered
an enormity in disbelief. "And when you withdraw from them, and that
which they worship, except Allah, then seek refuge in the Cave, your Lord
will open a way for you from His Mercy and will make easy for you your
affair”.

"For if they come to know of you, they will stone you or turn
you back to their religion, and in that case you will never be
successful.“And keep yourself patiently with those who call
on their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His Face, and
let not your eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp and glitter
of the life of the world; and obey not him whose heart We
have made heedless of Our Remembrance, one who follows
his own lusts and whose affair has been lost. And say: "The
truth is from your Lord." Then whosoever wills, let him
believe, and whosoever wills, let him disbelieve. Verily, We
have prepared for the Zalimun, a Fire whose walls will be
surrounding them. And if they ask for help they will be
granted water like boiling oil, that will scald their faces.
Terrible the drink, and an evil Murtafaqa. Verily! As for those
who believe and do righteous deeds, certainly! We shall not
suffer to be lost the reward of anyone who does his deeds in
the most perfect manner. (30)

his hands, he will say: "Oh! Would that I had taken a
path with the Messenger .Ah! Woe to me! Would that
I had never taken so-and-so as a friend! "He indeed
led me astray from the Reminder after it had come to
me. And Shaitan (Satan) is ever a deserter to man in
the hour of need.“ And the Messenger will say: "O
my Lord! Verily, my people deserted this Qur'an.

(‫فصلت‬)
Verily, those who say: "Our Lord is Allah ," and then
they Istaqamu , on them the angels will descend "Fear not, nor
grieve! But receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you
have been promised! "We have been your friends in the life of
this world and are (so) in the Hereafter. Therein you shall
have that your inner-selves desire, and therein you shall have
for which you ask for. "An entertainment from , the Oft-
Forgiving, Most Merciful.” And who is better in speech than
he who [says: "My Lord is Allah (believes in His Oneness),"
and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites
(men) to Allah's (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous
deeds, and says: "I am one of the Muslims.” The good deed
and the evil deed cannot be equal. Repel with one which is
better (i.e. Allah ordered the faithful believers to be patient at
the time of anger, and to excuse those who treat them badly),
then verily! he, between whom and you there was enmity, as
though he was a close friend. But none is granted it (the above
quality) except those who are patient, and none is granted it
except the owner of the great portion. And if an evil whisper
from Shaitan (Satan) tries to turn you away (O Muhammad )
(from doing good, etc.), then seek refuge in Allah. Verily, He
is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

  • 33. Verily, those who say: "Our Lord is Allah ," and then they Istaqamu , on them the angels will descend "Fear not, nor grieve! But receive the glad tidings of Paradise which you have been promised! "We have been your friends in the life of this world and are (so) in the Hereafter. Therein you shall have that your inner-selves desire, and therein you shall have for which you ask for. "An entertainment from , the Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful.” And who is better in speech than he who [says: "My Lord is Allah (believes in His Oneness)," and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allah's (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: "I am one of the Muslims.” The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. Repel with one which is better (i.e. Allah ordered the faithful believers to be patient at the time of anger, and to excuse those who treat them badly), then verily! he, between whom and you there was enmity, as though he was a close friend. But none is granted it (the above quality) except those who are patient, and none is granted it except the owner of the great portion.
