In 1940 Paul F. Lazarsfeld discovers the „Two-
Step-Flow of Communication‟.
Key insight: the media do not influence the
majority of people. Most people‟s attitudes and
decisions are influenced by opinion leaders in
their personal environment. However, opinion
leaders are intensive media users.
