Social networking has become a major trend on the web, with hundreds of millions of people participating. While connecting socially online is not new, the scale at which people are forming public social connections on sites like Facebook is unprecedented. Social networking sites allow users to create profiles, connect with friends, share photos and videos, join groups, and interact in various ways.
