Virtual training is as good or better than in-person training according to 70% of people, and 96% use training in their work. Training is having a large impact as 80% of people trained go on to train others, and one training program trained over 18,000 people. Training centers are adapting through increased online training and partnerships with universities. Higher education may also transition to more online and hybrid courses by 2020.

Social Media Responsibility and Awareness for Athletes
1. Social media plays an important role in how college coaches evaluate and recruit athletes. Coaches can easily find inappropriate or concerning online behavior that may cause them to pass on an athlete, regardless of athletic talent.
2. The document provides examples of recruit evaluations where red flags in a player's social media or character led coaches to be skeptical or recommend other options over them. Having a clean social profile and good character recommendations increases recruitability.
3. Maintaining a high GPA, test scores, and avoiding misconduct is also important for recruits, as coaches want reliable students as well as athletes they can trust on and off the field.
LMRF - Future Past in Childhood disability and development
Lion Mukhlesur Rahman Foundation was established in 2001 with the purpose of providing free cleft lip/palate surgery and rehabilitation. It was the first such organization in the Chittagong to provide such services. From its earliest days, LMRF has been primarily focused on providing out-of-the box healthcare services to the marginalized communities. Moreover, the services continue to be free of cost.
Twelve years since it has been established, LMRF today has transformed into an organization that primarily deals with children. After 2010, free of cost Clubfoot treatments have also been included and since then LMRF is the only organization that provides such service in the entire Chittagong division.
Based on today’s context and the needs of the future, over the next few years, LMRF intends to position itself as the most recognized children’s charity in Chittagong and Bangladesh. With this mission, LMRF introduces its flagship initiative – SHAPING UP TOMORROW.
A. Vision 2020 – Shaping Up Tomorrow
Lion Mukhlesur Rahman Foundation (LMRF) wants to be recognized as the Most Productive, Cost-Effective and leading children’s charity of Bangladesh with a manifesto of ensuring that every child gets the opportunity to grow up to the best of their potential without any barriers (physical, mental and social).
B. Purpose and Values:
This vision is driven by the idea that all under-privileged children born with physical, develompemtal and psyco-social barriers, bear equal potential to be a bright future for the country, if they are given a chance.
Our strengths lie in the disciplined delivery of quality health care and community effort to eliminate childhood problems and disabilities and continuous thrive for innovation in healthcare service to bring miracle in the lives of these needy children.
C. Mission for 2014 - 16
In 2014, LMRF will begin establishing the building blocks of Shaping Up Tomorrow. This includes strengthening existing projects, building teams to carry the vision, building infrastructure to support the intended growth and most importantly establish a secure funding strategy to become a high quality child development & rehabilitation organization by 2016 and carry towards the Shaping Up Tomorrow vision.

Hearing impairments have historically denied people legal rights and access to education. Early detection of hearing loss in children is important to prevent delays in speech development. Common causes of conductive hearing loss include fluid, infections, and cholesteatoma. Treatment options depend on the type of hearing loss and include surgical procedures, hearing aids, bone anchored hearing aids, and cochlear implants.

Chronic illness
Chronic illnesses like heart disease, cancer, stroke, COPD, and diabetes are generally incurable and worsen over time. They are the major causes of death and health care costs in the US. Risky behaviors in youth and middle age such as smoking, poor diet, physical inactivity, obesity, and alcohol abuse put people at higher risk of developing chronic conditions. Adopting a healthy lifestyle through not smoking, eating well, exercising regularly, and limiting alcohol can help prevent chronic diseases and reduce their impact on one's health as they age.

Chronic illness
The Chronic Care Model provides a framework to improve care for patients with chronic illnesses. It emphasizes productive interactions between informed, activated patients and prepared practice teams. The model includes six core elements: community resources, self-management support, delivery system design, decision support, clinical information systems, and organized healthcare systems. Studies show practices that more fully implement the model through interventions experience improved quality of care and patient outcomes. Randomized controlled trials demonstrate the Chronic Care Model is effective across different chronic conditions. While implementation presents challenges, the evidence indicates the Chronic Care Model can successfully redesign care for chronic illness.

Vulnerability, dependency, and resistance are three of the most important factors in delivery of human services. They often constitute a bugaboo for human service workers, thwarting their best efforts and leading to frustration on the part of all participants in helping transactions. Their origins lie both within the individual and within society, and reactions to them tend to be both value laden and culture bound.
Vulnerability
In every society, there are people who can be characterized as more vulnerable than others—more vulnerable to illness, to unemployment or underemployment, to violence, to social isolation, to failure. They are more vulnerable to the changes that take place in the society, first and longest penalized by them. The most prominent of these are the poor, minorities, the handicapped, the elderly, and children. To be poor in an affluent society, to be old and slow in a world that values youth and speed, to be a child when family structures are weakening and changing and when proliferating no-fault divorces are mainly concerned with the rights of adults, to b e a member of a minor it y group that is considered inferior, to be so handicapped as to be unable to use available resources—to be any of these is to be isolated, stereotyped, and dehumanized. It is to know that within the society there are institutionalized supports that tend to maintain prejudice and discrimination and to close the doors of opportunity. It is to know the frustration of powerlessness, the bitterness of coping with harsh conditions that tend to be self-perpetuating, the

loneliness of being the outsider, and the deadening defeat of unfulfilled potential. It is to be afraid. People caught in such situations may develop one of three patterns of behavior in coping with their vulnerability:
1. hey can mobilize personal and social resources to deal with this reality and, if possible, change it (as in the successful activity of pressure groups of elderly people, minorities, and the handicapped).
2. hey can become helpless and dependent—although not always consciously—and force the society to care for them by not caring for themselves (as with many of the crisis-prone, multiproblem families who cling to welfare programs).
3. hey can strike out in fear and rage at forces they often do not fully understand and cannot control (as do the violent gangs within the ghettos in our cities).
Human service workers in all areas are in immediate and personal contact with our social victims—the physician in the emergency room, the social worker in the welfare department, the teacher in the ghetto classroom, the public health nurse visiting the old person in an isolated rural farmhouse, the foster care worker facing the 13-year-old nobody wants, the minister developing a food program to feed the hu.
Representation 1
Media representations are constructions rather than mirrors of reality. They are intentionally composed by producers and represent someone's concept of existence through signs and symbols. When studying media, it is important to analyze who produced the representation, what is being represented, and how and why it is represented in that particular way. Representations of gender, race, age and other identity factors are often based on stereotypes that can reinforce societal prejudices if accepted uncritically.
Learning Disabilities
The document discusses learning disabilities and the diversity among students who have them. It notes that no two students experience learning disabilities in the same way, as disabilities can affect different academic areas and be combined with other issues like memory, information processing, mathematics, reading, language, or social and emotional challenges.
