- 2. With my first magazine attempt there was only a few editing that was done, I had done a background which was done by selecting the color I wanted then, by creating the faded effect there was a tool that could be used to stretch the color making it have the fade effect, then there was my two images and with this I used the tool of the rubber, but zooming made me have a little more focus on where I was rubbing out the un needed parts, also I used different fonts and sizes and then to finish off I made the text a different color because I thought about the theme for st peters and it being green and yellow so that is what I had done for my main title, I also used screenshots and how I did that was by pressing cmd, shft and 4 which then allowed me to take a screenshot of the image that I searched up.

With my finished magazine with the front cover, contents and article I found it hard to put detail in at the beginning but as I carried on creating my pages for my final outcome it became easier to know where the tools were for using photoshop, and with my front cover and contents for making the image look more soft around the edges and in photoshop this was called refining the edges and the idea of this was to give a smoother look at the finish.Then with my text it was quite straight forward lining up where it was going to be placed on my pages, through the process of using photoshop and creating my music magazine I learnt about color coordination and making sure that it has a similar design throughout.

From my student magazine and my finished music magazine you can see a massive difference from what I had known then and how much I had learnt to do now, with the student magazine I was not aware of placing images and of where it would look better being put, and with the text you could see that I hadn’t planned out where it was going to be placed or lined up, the with my finished music magazine which contained my front cover, my contents and article, a lot of detail and conventions I had learnt helped me improve making my pages for my magazine, and from lessons as well learning new things I had picked up on a few skills of knowing how to use photoshop swiftly. In conclusion I feel that I have learnt a lot and know how to present it and what to include when trying to attract an audience to wanting to read your magazine, and researching off of the internet was also very helpful to me because the amount of techniques that are shown you can learn from and put into your own work, but I would say I have improved from where I was at the beginning when doing my student magazine.
