The document discusses gross domestic product (GDP), which measures the total income and expenditures of an economy. GDP is equal to the total expenditure on final goods and services produced within a country. It has four components: consumption, investment, government purchases, and net exports. While GDP is a good measure of economic well-being, it does not capture all factors such as leisure time, environmental quality, and unpaid work.
