This document provides an instructional plan for a course on Introduction to AutoCAD 2012. The course will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-10pm from June 25th to August 22nd. The plan outlines the course objectives, outcomes, student demographics, materials needed, and applies Wlodkowski's four motivational conditions of inclusion, attitude, meaning and competence throughout the timing of the course. Strategies like introducing themselves, explaining objectives clearly, providing feedback, and incentives are used to maintain student motivation.
The workshop is an introduction to the Intel® Teach Essentials course on how to integrate ICT into existing classroom curricula to promote learning. The workshop is a blend of various hands-on-activities combined with a PowerPoint presentation to introduce various aspects of the course

However, programming courses are generally considered among the most difficult course and often have the highest dropout rates. The main concern is what concerns of computing faculty is to improve students’ motivation in getting involved in meaningful programming activities. This requires special skills to teach programming. A teacher training workshop was arranged at Directorate of Staff Development for newly inducted Computer Science teachers. The workshop covers various approaches proposed in literature for teaching computer programming. Some useful guidelines have also been suggested. These are the slides of this workshop.

In the era of the IR 4.0, the use of information technology among school students is widespread but students are not proficient in computer programming. To compete in the digital world, students need to be exposed to computer programming in order to produce computer programming experts. Integrating computer programming into the school curriculum can improve students literacy of computer programming but adequate computer programming skill among teachers are quite limited. Therefore, the development of microcontroller instructional teaching module which could address this problem is needed. This development aims to develop the module using design and developmental research (DDR) approach. Need Analysis phase in DDR is discussed in this article. The phase consists of identifying the level of knowledge, attitudes and practices of teachers about microcontroller and to obtain the views and opinions of the teachers on the developmental needs of microcontroller teaching modules. The type of microcontroller and the programming language to be used in the microcontroller module also identified.The results of this study are important to ensure that the design and development of an instructional module for microcontroller education are implemented and have a positive impact on increasing the programming literacy level among secondary school children
Integrating technology and unit develop will encourage a curriculum that is both challenging and meaningful for students. This process also will create a coherent, workable framework for teacher instruction. In order to integrate technology into the curriculum, the school must follow six essential steps: selecting content standards, establishing purpose, developing learning tasks, defining methods of assessment, identifying technology tools and applying technology integration. The final step in the process is to submit all technology- based learning units to the steering committee. These units will be made available to teachers in all subject areas once the technology equipment is installed.

Explore Photoshop through hands-on web-design exercises. The course starts with an introduction to the Photoshop interface and tools and the types of files that are used for web graphics. The course continues as you learn how to use layers, effects, text, filters and image optimization tools for the web. Course objective: To learn the basics of the software AutoCAD 2012 to create simple drawings to include floor plans, elevations, details
of architectural and mechanical components and content. The knowledge of the software is essential for the creation of drawings made
by Computer Aided Designers and Drafters, Architects and Engineers. The students will also learn the origin of Computer Aided Design
(CAD). Students will also learn briefly of the industry National CAD Standards (NCS) and the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA)
layers and naming conventions.
Course outcome: Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to complete CAD drawings consisting of floor plans,
schematics, mechanical components and layout. Students will also be able to drawing a single to two-story building (house) showing the
exterior with front, left, right and back views. Drawings will be drawing to scale, the text will be of the proper height and font for
industry standard and all components will be in the proper layers.
Student demographic: The student population consists of students in the CAD Design, Architecture and Construction Management
programs. The student age range is from 18 to 50 years of age. The ethnic groups covered are all races and nationalities whose language

is Basic English. The geographic locations of the students are within driving range of the campus, basically from the Washington, DC
Metropolitan area.
Materials needed: The students must have access to a 32-bit or 64-bit PC (laptop or desktop), running Windows XP, Vista, or 7, 2 GB
RAM, 2 GB free disk space to install the software, 1024 x 768 display resolution with true color, an Internet connection and the latest
Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Safari browser, and a DVD or download capabilities from Autodesk. Download option can be
achieved from Autodesk by registering the software as a student using the student’s school email address. The software license is valid
for three years from activation. Activation code will be emailed to the student. Textbook AutoCAD 2012 and AutoCAD LT 2012: No
Experience Required by Donnie Gladfelter is also required. Printing capabilities for large format printing will be accommodated by the
school’s printing center. The student has the option for large format printing from other sources, if desired.
