In this presentation we explore the evolution of the Web frameworks and CSS from the dawn of the Web development to June 2015.
We describe React, as one of the modern ways to do Web development and we end up with Reactive programming and CSS modules as implemented in Webpack.

Quick introduction into react and flux followed by a comparison of redux and alt flux frameworks and a simple hello world application implemented in each of them. Last two slides present a microservices approach to client side applications as one of approaches how to make transitions between frameworks easier.
Web and mobile development have always been separate worlds. Sure there have been tools like PhoneGap but it never matched the performance of native apps. React Native is here to change all that by using React to render native components for both iOS and Android. This talk will give an introduction to React Native through the eyes of a web developer.
Intro course presentation for React with Redux. It is including how to make AJAX Request with React, use Middleware, Router, and Reselect.

Value types are at the core of Swift (seriously, mostly everything in the Swift standard library is a value type). But how do you avoid subclassing? That’s where the power of Protocol-Oriented programming comes in. Learn how to structure your code to never subclass (almost) again! Practical everyday examples and ideas for your own code base will be included.
When developing applications we have a hard time managing application state, and that is okay because managing application state is hard. We will try to make it easier using Redux.
Redux is predictable state management container for JavaScript applications that helps us manage our state while also making our state mutations predictable.
Through the presentation and code, I will show you how I solved my state problem with Redux in React application.
Based on the core.async library Clojure allows a CSP programming style, so your system is made up of asynchronous, lightweight processes which communicate through channels.
The talk shows common pitfalls in classic OO GUI
approaches and shows how to tackle some of these problems in a fundamentally simpler way.

Developing ASP.NET Applications Using the Model View Controller Patterngoodfriday
Learn how to use the model-view-controller (MVC) pattern to take advantage of your favorite .NET Framework language for writing business logic in a way that is de-coupled from the views of the data.
ITT 2014 - Peter Steinberger - Architecting Modular CodebasesIstanbul Tech Talks
Everyone knows the pain of convoluted code as an application grows and feature after feature is being added. In this talk Peter lets you explore ideas how to grow your project in a healthy, maintainable way, how to manage dependencies, how to design code around testability, how to write plugins and even some practical solutions around the idea of aspect oriented programming. This is all based on a large-scale 150k lines project and Peter shows some production code as well.

* How to build scalable, flexible and robust system;
* Why MVC/MVP/MVVM is not an architecture;
* What is Clean Architecture;
* Considering VIPER architecture as an adaptation of Bob Martin's CA for mobile projects: main components, principles, pros & cons;
* Explanation of many buzzwords: SRP, Flow of Control, Business Rules, Massive View Controllers etc.
DroidConUk 2016 [Barcamp]
In this conference, I want to talk about treatments.
By treatments, I mean where and how do you implement your business logic, the way your application handles data, your global algorithms,
And to do that, I need first to talk you about Architecture. But in Android, when you say "Architecture" every boby answers MVP / MVVM / ... so we will first have a look to those patterns, from an history point of view then we will discover that we have missed some layer to split concerns accross the application.
So we will talk about layer architecture (yep, also known as N-Tier architecture).
So, we have a better idea of what a generic architecture should be, now let's apply it on Android: Let's talk about the application object, and the service services layer, in particular we'll dive into the problem "do our business services have to be implemented extending Service ?".
Then I talk to you about a ServiceManager, that we have to implement, to centralize the management of all your services and all your threads pools.
And some much more :)
Enjoy the talk,
React Native for multi-platform mobile applicationsMatteo Manchi
Since its 2013 release, React has brought a new way to design UI components in the world wide web. The same foundamentals have been taken to another important environment in our contemporary world: the mobile application.
This month we'll see the philosophy behind React Native - learn once, write anywhere - and how this new framework helps new developers to build native apps using React.
