you would potentially like to pursue after you graduate. So at first, don’t
confine yourself to specific project types.
Though it might seem like the only freelance jobs out there are in web
development, you could find many different types of opportunities when
you do a little bit of digging. You could find gigs in web design, UX/UI
design, bot design (this one’s a lot of fun), game development,
technical writing, etc.
If you have some research or project experience, you might also be able
to do freelance consulting in specialized fields such as web security,
machine learning or crypto currency.
