Maximilien Luce

• He was a painter, engraver, french artist, and anarchist
• Wrote articles for newspapers
• Had a poor family
• Was one the founders for Neo-Impressionist School
• Trained as a wood carver & studied engraving in 1872
In July 1894, Luce got arrested because of being accused of
inciting people to revolt through his sketches, but from
evidence he was acquitted and freed from jail on August
17th. After 48 days in jail ,Luce got arrested again in 1896
during his visit to King Alfonso Xll of Spain.
