Students researched an artist and shared their knowledge using powerpoint. We will create QR codes with the URL to share with family and our school.

2. Gustave’s Birthday is June 10,1819. His father
supported him to be an artist. That inspired
Courbet to lead a new movement of painting
focusing on rural activities. He then went to
the College of Fine Arts at Besancon.

3. His quote “Fine art is knowledge made visible”
means that art can be put out in knowledge. That’s
a one of Gustave’s most famous quotes. Another
famous quote is “I am not one that born in
custody of wisdom; I am one who is fond of olden
times and intense in quest of sacred knowing of
the ancients.”

5. I looked through all that information at,
www.bio.com/Gustave Courbet. I saw that he
made his own kind of style called realism
which is pretty cool. I think he must’ve worked
hard on those paintings. I wonder how long he
took on those paintings. I wish I could add
some more of his paintings because they look
beautiful but that would be too many
paintings. I bet that if he still lived today, he
would still amaze people.
