Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany in 1879 and died in the USA in 1955. He showed exceptional talent in mathematics and physics from a young age, teaching himself advanced concepts like algebra and geometry before age 13. Einstein went on to develop the theories of special and general relativity, revolutionizing physics and our understanding of space and time. He is regarded as one of the most influential scientists of the 20th century and received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 for his work explaining the photoelectric effect.
Stefan Banach
Stefan Banach was a Polish mathematician born in 1892 who is considered one of the most important mathematicians of the 20th century. He founded the modern theory of functional analysis and was an original member of the Lwów School of Mathematics. His major work was the 1932 book Theory of Linear Operations, which was the first monograph on the general theory of functional analysis. Banach authored over 50 scientific papers and his name is associated with numerous important mathematical concepts including Banach spaces, Banach algebras, and the Banach fixed-point theorem. He died in 1945 in Lviv at the age of 53.
Jan Sniadecki
Jan Śniadecki was a Polish mathematician, philosopher, astronomer and geographer born in 1756 who died in 1830. He studied in Kraków, Göttingen and Paris and later opposed the Jesuits' educational activities. He developed Polish mathematical and astronomical terminology and authored a textbook on Algebra. He proposed constructing an astronomical observatory in the botanical garden in Kraków.

these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
