on April 9, 2015 for their reviewandapproval.
Three Geneva 2020 Workgroups
• Communications:
– Craftvision andmission statements forGeneva 2020.
– Plan how tocommunicate that vision andmission tothe public.
• Governance:
– Chartthe accountability structure for Geneva 2020 that will function as the organizationalframework, depicting the
different tables within the partnership andincluding an outline ofthe rolesandresponsibilities ofeach table.
• Outcomes:
– Understand the points along the cradle tocareer education continuum that areproven to be key levers that need tobe
moved in order toachieve Geneva 2020’s vision andmission.
– Select Community Level Outcomes from across the cradle tocareer continuum andensure accountability tothe
community.
– Determine the indicators forthese outcomes, which arespecific measures that will be used totrack progress on
moving the community level outcomes.

  • 3. Our Deliverable … Draft Outcomes andIndicators for Geneva 2020 that will be presented tothe broader partnership on April 9, 2015 for their reviewandapproval.
  • 4. Three Geneva 2020 Workgroups • Communications: – Craftvision andmission statements forGeneva 2020. – Plan how tocommunicate that vision andmission tothe public. • Governance: – Chartthe accountability structure for Geneva 2020 that will function as the organizationalframework, depicting the different tables within the partnership andincluding an outline ofthe rolesandresponsibilities ofeach table. • Outcomes: – Understand the points along the cradle tocareer education continuum that areproven to be key levers that need tobe moved in order toachieve Geneva 2020’s vision andmission. – Select Community Level Outcomes from across the cradle tocareer continuum andensure accountability tothe community. – Determine the indicators forthese outcomes, which arespecific measures that will be used totrack progress on moving the community level outcomes.
  • 5. Shared Community Vision A broad set of cross-sector community partners come together in an accountable way to implement a cradle to career vision for education and communicate that vision effectively. •Vision •Mission •Goals •Outcomes and Indicators
  • 6. Common Language Vision What do we want for our city? Mission How will we get to our vision? What is the role of the Cradle-to- Career Partnership in helping us to get to this vision? Goals Aspirational; One for each part of the Cradle-to-Career Continuum. Outcomes Priority results we want for the children/youth; measurable and connected to the goals; drive the collective work of the partnership

Outcomes and Indicators Outcomes: Points along the cradle to career education continuum that are proven to be key levers that need to be moved in order to achieve the cradle to career vision and goals. Community Level Outcomes are selected from across the cradle to career continuum and ensure accountability to the community. Example: Kindergarten Readiness Indicators: The specific measures that are being used to track progress on moving the community level outcomes. Example: Students assessed as ready for Kindergarten upon entering school.

MISSION GOALS Children are born healthy Children enter kindergarten ready to succeed Children demonstrate grade-level proficiency in reading and math Youth are prepared for post-secondary education or training OUTCOMES Healthy development and well being of children Increase kindergarten readiness by 9% over four years Increase 3rd grade reading proficiency and 5th grade math proficiency Re-engage drop outs Increase the number of graduates receiving academic honors diplomas indicating a higher level of preparedness for post-secondary educ or training Aspire unites community partners and families around healthy development and education of children, cradle to career, through a data- driving accountability system that achieves better results. Pathways to post secondary education or training become the norm for all young people VISION • Percent of students at or above math and reading levels  Percent of drop outs that attend post secondary education or training  Percent of students receiving academic honors diplomas (Example) ContributingIndicators • Increase in enrollment rates in post secondary education or training  Percent of children considered eligible using Kindergarten Readiness Assessment- Literacy scoring  Percent of low birth weights Toledo’s Success Roadmap Young adults enroll in post- secondary education or training

MISSION GOALS Every child is prepared for school Every child succeeds academically Every child enrolls in some form of postsecondary education Every child graduates and is career ready OUTCOMES Increase prenatal care to women in the first trimester of pregnancy Decrease the number of low birth weights Increase Pre K enrollment Increase proficiency in 3rd grade reading and 4th grade math Increase proficiency in 8th grade math and english Increase 4 year graduation rates Increase enrollment in post secondary education Increase in graduation rates Decrease in unemployment rates To improve education outcomes for Rochester's most at risk youth.
