STRATEGIES OF
HALDIRAM’S
WHAT IS MARKETING MIX?
Marketing Mix is one of the most fundamental concepts
in marketing management. For attracting consumers
and for sales promotion, every manufacturer has to
concentrate on four basic elements/components.
These are: product, pricing, distributive channels
(place) and sales promotion techniques.
A fair combination of these marketing elements is called
Marketing Mix. This marketing mix is marketing
manager's tool for achieving marketing
objectives/targets. He has to use the four elements of
marketing mix in a rational manner to achieve his
marketing objectives in terms of volume of sales and
consumer support.
LITERATURE REVIEW
 Haldiram's is a major Indian sweets and snacks
manufacturer and has manufacturing plants in Nagpur, New
Delhi, Kolkata, Bikaner. Haldiram's has its own retail chain
stores and a range of restaurants in Nagpur, Kolkata and
Delhi. Haldiram's products are exported to several countries
worldwide, including Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, United
States, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Australia, New
Zealand, Japan, Thailand, Australia and others.
 Haldiram's was founded in 1937 by Gangabhisan Aggarwal
as a retail sweets and namkeen shop in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
In expansion, the company's first manufacturing plant was
located in Calcutta. In 1970 a larger manufacturing plant was
established in Nagpur. Another manufacturing plant was
established in New Delhi, the capital of India, in the early
1990s, which also had retail store. In 2003, the company
began the process of developing convenience foods to be
marketed to consumers. In 2008, the chairman of the
company's Nagpur branch was Shivkishan Agarwal. In 2014,
Haldiram was ranked 55th among India's most trusted
brands according to the Brand Trust Report, a study
conducted by Trust Research Advisory.
Objectives of the study
 Marketing plays a very important role in the success
of any organisation. According to Kotler (2010)
"Marketing is the social process by which individuals
and groups obtain what they need and want through
creating and exchanging products and value with
others" The main objective of the study is to evaluate
the “MARKETING STRATEGIES OF HALDIRAM’S
 THE MAIN OBJECTIVES ARE:
 To study about HALDIRAM’S and its related aspects
like its products & services, History, Organizational
structure, Subsidiary companies etc.
 To study the marketing mix of HALDIRAM’S.
 To study the marketing strategies and brand loyalty of
HALDIRAM’S.
 To study the behaviour of the consumer
with respect to attributes such as Brand
Loyalty and come up with the
recommendations as to what all needs to
be considered keeping the consumer in
mind.
 To analyse HALDIRAM’S competitor and
compare their strategies and come up with
recommendations for any problem being
faced by it.

  • 2. WHAT IS MARKETING MIX? Marketing Mix is one of the most fundamental concepts in marketing management. For attracting consumers and for sales promotion, every manufacturer has to concentrate on four basic elements/components. These are: product, pricing, distributive channels (place) and sales promotion techniques. A fair combination of these marketing elements is called Marketing Mix. This marketing mix is marketing manager's tool for achieving marketing objectives/targets. He has to use the four elements of marketing mix in a rational manner to achieve his marketing objectives in terms of volume of sales and consumer support.

  • 11. LITERATURE REVIEW  Haldiram's is a major Indian sweets and snacks manufacturer and has manufacturing plants in Nagpur, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bikaner. Haldiram's has its own retail chain stores and a range of restaurants in Nagpur, Kolkata and Delhi. Haldiram's products are exported to several countries worldwide, including Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Thailand, Australia and others.  Haldiram's was founded in 1937 by Gangabhisan Aggarwal as a retail sweets and namkeen shop in Bikaner, Rajasthan. In expansion, the company's first manufacturing plant was located in Calcutta. In 1970 a larger manufacturing plant was established in Nagpur. Another manufacturing plant was established in New Delhi, the capital of India, in the early 1990s, which also had retail store. In 2003, the company began the process of developing convenience foods to be marketed to consumers. In 2008, the chairman of the company's Nagpur branch was Shivkishan Agarwal. In 2014, Haldiram was ranked 55th among India's most trusted brands according to the Brand Trust Report, a study conducted by Trust Research Advisory.
  • 12. Objectives of the study  Marketing plays a very important role in the success of any organisation. According to Kotler (2010) "Marketing is the social process by which individuals and groups obtain what they need and want through creating and exchanging products and value with others" The main objective of the study is to evaluate the “MARKETING STRATEGIES OF HALDIRAM’S  THE MAIN OBJECTIVES ARE:  To study about HALDIRAM’S and its related aspects like its products & services, History, Organizational structure, Subsidiary companies etc.  To study the marketing mix of HALDIRAM’S.  To study the marketing strategies and brand loyalty of HALDIRAM’S.
  • 13.  To study the behaviour of the consumer with respect to attributes such as Brand Loyalty and come up with the recommendations as to what all needs to be considered keeping the consumer in mind.  To analyse HALDIRAM’S competitor and compare their strategies and come up with recommendations for any problem being faced by it.
