This document summarizes the work of EKAL, an organization working to bridge social disparities through inclusive education. It provides education to children in rural villages, with over 51,717 schools as of 2013 benefiting over 26 lakh children. The schools are run by local female teachers with matric-level education. EKAL also provides health care education and promotes self-reliance through programs on health, hygiene, and organic farming. An independent study found EKAL has positively impacted villages through reduced liquor consumption, increased social harmony, education awareness, and empowerment. Arogya Yojana was started in year 2003 with following aims:
 Promotion and advancement of health care education in tribal and
distant villages.
 Make villages self dependant in health & Hygiene.
 Bridge the gap between the under privileged villagers & the present day
healthcare delivery system

London Olympic Torch, in Nottingham Square on
28th June, 2012 at 12 Noon (London Time). She
studied in Barbaruah Tea Garden Village Ekal Vidyalaya
