The Role of the CIO and CMO in the Digital Transformation of EducationVala Afshar
Colleges and universities face economic, technological, and market forces that challenge the traditional ways of recruiting students, raising money, delivering services, and insuring student success. Rapid growth in BYOD, apps, online education, and an explosion of new competitors, such as MOOCs are adding to the pressure. At the same time, marketing has become data intensive and technology driven. Gartner points to the CMO as the champion of the technology budget in the near future. CIOs can partner with marketing leaders to optimize the use of technology to increase execution velocity and scale departmental efficiency. The current period of transition creates opportunities for institutions that learn to embrace change and form a collaborative relationship between the CIO and CMO.

The multi-generational workforce - the new fault line? Hayat Hamici
There are more similarities than differences between the three main generational cohorts in the UK workforce - Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials. While stereotypes suggest the generations have varying work preferences and levels of engagement, data from a large survey found few meaningful differences. Generation X reported slightly lower levels of trust in colleagues compared to the other generations. However, differences in engagement were more linked to age than generation. Additionally, all generations prioritized financial benefits and job security highly with little disparity in priorities. Overall, the data indicates a "one-size-fits-all" approach to employee engagement can be effective across generational lines in the workforce.

Business Process Management, Millennials, Mobility and the Future of Digital...Nathaniel Palmer
Converging trend lines across Consumerization, Social, Mobile and Cloud computing present a wellspring of new opportunities for engaging customers and empowering knowledge workers. Yet while it is the truly the combined impact of these trends that is collectively so profound, it is hard to argue against the notion that Mobile stands out as the singularly most disruptive matter.
The influx of mobile devices has already begun to change business processes and interaction patterns faster than many existing applications can keep pace. Mobile devices (both tablets and smartphones) are rapidly becoming the dominant form of personal computing, and for a growing segment of many markets, it is the primary (of not sole) interface to customers. Yet few enterprise are fully leveraging the truly transformative opportunity presented by having a 24/7 persistent connection to their customers.
How will you keep pace and still innovate in the post-relational, post-PC, Internet of Everything digital marketplace? BPM offers a critical leverage point for enabling this transformation. This presentation explores how BPM has emerged as the most promising platform for enabling customers and knowledge workers to interact with your business via mobile apps. BPM is uniquely able to smooth the user experience and coordinate the process-level integration to existing systems that provide content and context.
Some topics addressed in this presentation:
• How the "richness" of the user experience that mobile apps offer will alter the behavior of the underlying processes, forcing the process to bring together content and manage context, often quite different than existing interaction patterns.
• Why despite an “always connected” metaphor, engaging with customers over mobile devices will require mission critical apps to be re-architected to accommodate intermittent connections.
The role of process governance with social collaboration and mobile communications in the context of FINRA and SEC compliance.
• How to leverage the combined strength of mobile apps and the “transactional thread” of BPM to ensure that “state” is maintained in multi-step processes, from the cloud to the contact center to back-office operations.
Masterclass: Harmonizing A Multigenerational Workforce With One Employer BrandUniversum Global
This document discusses how to harmonize a multigenerational workforce through developing one attractive employer brand. It begins with an overview of Universum and their research on talent perceptions. It then explores differences between generations (Baby Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y) in terms of values, education views, and work preferences. While generations have misperceptions about each other, all want similar things from their career. The document outlines developing an employer value proposition through research to communicate a consistent brand. This involves understanding target groups, competitors, and adapting messaging while keeping the core brand intact. The goal is influencing the employer brand in an effective, sustainable way to attract and retain multigenerational talent.
Keep Peace and Keep Learning in a Multi-Generational WorkforceBizLibrary
This document discusses training a multigenerational workforce. It provides an overview of the four main generations currently in the workforce - Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials. Each generation has different formative life experiences that shape their work styles, views on change, careers, and expectations around training. Effective training requires understanding these generational differences and tailoring approaches to learning, communication, problem solving, and leadership to different preferences. Generational diversity in the workforce presents both challenges and opportunities for organizations.

How can we become future ready if we don’t have enough time? Even worse is that everyone expects this pace of change to accelerate. The latest trends in research indicate we are in a period of exponential change with no signs of slowing down. So how do we stop the insanity? It’s about turning around and looking into the future waves of change coming at us instead of the shoreline, learning how to avoid being swamped by the
waves and, even better, learning how to look for the opportunities in each wave and how to ride them. The alternative is to stay stuck in the present and risk being left behind in the same change of forces accelerating before our eyes.
“Did you know that approximately 10,000 people will retire each day? This means 43 percent of the current workforce will retire in the next decade,” stated Steve Dobberowsky, Principal, Thought Leadership & Advisory Services at Cornerstone.
There are many challenges that government agencies face today, such as shrinking budgets and the Baby Boomer retirements. So, how are HR professionals adopting a talent management strategy that will drive positive results in this day and age?
In this training with GovLoop, we'll examine how the workforce is rapidly changing and the challenges and solutions that HR professionals are dealing with - including developing a Unified Talent Management strategy.
Peeling Back the Layers of the Small Business MarketCompTIA
The document provides an overview of opportunities and challenges for technology solution providers in the small business market. It finds that the SMB market is not monolithic, with many differentiating factors among micro, small, and medium businesses. zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...Alex Pruden
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.
