Malaysia is located in the South China Sea and is separated into two
 different land masses. The first part is located between Cambodia
and Singapore and the second is north of Indonesia and surrounds
                               Brunei.

                between the two countries.
• The treaty gave Britain control of the North Malaysia and
            Dutch control of the South Malaysia.
   • This gave Britain better control of trading routes
     previously dominated by the East India Company.

• While the Japanese didn’t play a huge part in colonizing
               Malaysia they did occupy it.
