The job posting is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform basic cleaning, maintenance, and repair work for both the interior and exterior of a hotel property under the supervision of a Maintenance Supervisor. Duties include coordinating daily routine tasks, scheduling medium projects, and interacting with vendors for major repairs. The applicant may also be called in for emergencies and will help service an adjoining shopping center with basic tenant services. Requirements include being able to lift 50+ pounds and work holidays with an open schedule. HVAC certifications or pool service experience is preferred.

1. MAINTENANCE
ASSISTANT
Applicant will have duties in basic cleaning, maintenance, and repair work
for interior and exterior of hotel property. Will work under supervision of
Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate daily with routine tasks for rooms and
property as well as schedule medium duty projects. Applicant will also interact
with and schedule various vendors (i.e. electricians, plumbers, etc.) for major
repairs. Applicant maybe called in to property should emergency arise.
Examples of service duty include but are not limited to: Painting, light duty
plumbing (sinks and toilets), changing lights/fixtures, carpet care, drywall
patchwork, and trash disposal.
Applicant will also help to service the adjoining Shopping Center (The hotel is
part of it) to help with basic services for tenants.
Requirements
Applicant should be healthy and able to lift 50 pounds or more. Open schedule is
preferred as hotel is open 365 days a year with at least one maintenance person
being on duty. Applicant must be able to work holidays.
Preferred
Having certifications and skills sets of major trades a plus. Special considerations
will be given to individuals with HVAC certifications and knowledge and
commercial pool service.
