This document is a summer training project report on the effectiveness of the performance management system at NTPC, the largest power company in India. It provides an introduction to NTPC, outlining that it was established in 1975 and currently has an installed capacity of over 31,000 MW across various coal, gas, and joint venture power plants. The report will analyze NTPC's performance management system to evaluate factors used to appraise employees and link rewards to motivation and development.
