Colour palette ideas
 I am going to the colour palette below, so that my magazine
can appeal to both male and female.
 Using the colour black will make my magazine look more
sophisticated and formal.
 I am using neutral colours so that my magazine doesn't appear
too bright and flashy.

 I am thinking about using the font below for my magazine
masthead because it looks creative and different and would
appeal to my target audience.

Target audience
 I have chosen to target both male and females between
the ages of 16-22, because they are the sort of people
that are interested in my genre choice (urban
contemporary).
 Also, younger people tend to adapt to the changes in
media, magazines and technology more quicker.

Audience profile
 Jane is a 17 year old from Nottingham.
 She enjoys listening to artists like Ciara, Rihanna, Drake, Eminem
and even Destiny’s Child.
 Jane would regularly go on to Instagram and Snapchat. She even
has a Soundcloud account where she likes to discover new music
and artists.
 Jane is really interested in photography and art. She studies both
these subjects at school. Art allows Jane to be independent and
express her emotions.
 Photography is a fantastic subject for Jane to study because she
is very interested in fashion and taking photos.

make it look more
structured.
I have included the

help remind the
reader's what
magazine they are
reading.

I have chosen a question and
answer format because they are
a bit more interesting to read.
I want the image to be on
the left side so that readers
see it straight away when
they turn the page. I also
want the main focus to be
on featured artist.
