Additional information like the album name, release date, and popular tracks are also included below the image to provide details. If an image of the artist is not used, iconic symbols associated with the artist are displayed instead along with bolder colors and effects to attract viewers attention without a recognizable face. The record label and publishing house are consistently shown somewhere on the ad as well.

After looking at some magazine adverts, I have found that the majority of the
adverts follow the same conventions. The artist is featured in the advert and is in the
center of the shot presented as the main attention. On the bottom half of the
advert, there is the information about the album name and the release date. Their
popular track is often mentioned as well to attract attention is people may recognise
the name of the song but not have known it was by them. The artist name is very
visible and bold to be seen straight away.
If the artist or band is not featured in the advert, it is important that their
iconography is recognised in the poster for the fans/audience to know what the
poster is advertising. Above shows an example of this and we can see that the advert
tends to use more colours and effect for the poster to look more attractive and
appealing when the artist or band is not featured in it.

2. The record label and publishing house are always visible on the poster, usually on the
bottom corner or half.
