This document summarizes and compares different methods for improving image deblurring, including deterministic filtering, Bayesian estimation, and the proposed alpha tonal correction method. Deterministic filtering can handle various blurs but performance depends on local image features. Bayesian estimation is constrained by specific blur models and sample size. The proposed alpha tonal correction method modifies Fourier transform coefficients to compress the image range while preserving edges, outperforming other methods for large blurs and noise.
