Luke Adams Unit 10 – Fictional Film Production
Pre Production – Recce
1. My filmis going to be shot around one location near my home – a public street
which goes under a bridge.
2. Most of the filming can be done from the pavement and across the road on the
opposite pavement
3. I know the road well, it is hardly ever busy and is almost never busy in the later
evening.
4. Some of the filming will need to be done from the road. I think this is safe because it
is a long reasonably straight road with little traffic, that what traffic there is tends to
be moving at a reasonably slow speed, and that it is in a quiet area so we can clearly
hear traffic from a distance.
5. My risk assessment will need to ensure that we position assistants at either end of
where we are shooting to keep guard for traffic and to warn us immediately.
6. The quietness of the location is also useful because of the scene in my filmwhere
the killer attacks the victim with a knife. Even using a stage harmless knife it could
cause problems if we were filming somewhere busy and we might need to think
about getting permission from the Police.
