Caddington park
Description of scene you intend to film in this location:
We selected a park in the town of Caddington to film one of our scenes. I felt that this would
be an effective choice as parks can often be portrayed as eerie when lonesome. Therefore it
would be ideal if we could visit the park when it is abandoned, perhaps in the evening when
it begins to grow dark to incite that sinister atmosphere that is conventional of horror;
turning a usually pleasant location into an empty, cold space where the protagonist is
increasingly vulnerable. We will ensure that there no other people if possible in the shots so
the shots remain focused upon our protagonist and how she is feeling. We intend to have a
scene where the protagonist is sitting on the swing, alone in the park, when she notices a
mysterious figure under the light of the lamp. She believes she is being stalked, and panics.
This is something provoked by her deteriorating mental state.
Suitability
Lighting level: The area is rather spacious allowing for natural lighting to shine. However as
we intend to the filmthe scene in the evening; artificial lighting may be necessary. We
selected this park due to the most ideal lighting; with two lamp posts stationed at each end
of the park. These will be effective when executing our desired scenes. Noticeably; during
late afternoon large shadows are cast on the park from overhanging scenery; however this
shouldn’t be an issue as we are filming when it begins to grow dark.
Noise level: Sounds include the natural ambience of birds chirping which makes for realistic
background noise. Occasionally the passing of planes, and sounds of cars parking however
we don’t believe this issue will affect us. One troublesome noise may be the chatter of
children in the park, however as we are filming in the evening we don’t believe the park will
have any visitors.
2. Potential hazards: Could possible inconvenience the public with our presence; but we hope
for there to no or minimal disturbances. As we are filming when it grows dark; tripping could
perhaps be a hazard but we will avoid this
Overall suitability: Due to this location’s spacious area, range of park equipment, sufficient
lighting and low risk environment we believe it to be the most suitable contender out of the
parks considered in the location ideas and therefore have selected it as the one we shall use
whilst filming.

Caddington Village - streets
Description of scene you intend to film in this location:
Scenes include our protagonist (at first with her friend Jess and then alone) travelling; either
back from school or to the local park to spend time alone. We want to establish her area of
residence to show that she has a place of belonging but perhaps doesn’t quite feel as though
she fits in. Several scenes will features Caddington village streets including her discovering
messages after parting with Jess, leaving her house to travel to the park and when she
attempts to escape the evil that follows her; and unfortunately trips on the pavement
injuring her arm.
Suitability
Lighting level: In scenes during the daytime natural lighting will be sufficient give our piece a
raw and realistic style. At dark street lamps are effective in casting helpful.
3. Noise level: Due to having chosen the location of Caddington which is a generally quiet and
peaceful area; noise level shouldn’t be a problem; aside occasional passing cars and perhaps
of residents however we believe we can avoid this and execute the desired shots with ease.
Potential hazards: could get in the way of citizens; or upset residents nearby however when
filming we will be cautious and respectful of those around us. If we were to include a house
or car number plate we could be invading privacy so we will avoid doing so.
Overall suitability: Ideal as Caddington village is the most peaceful which should allow us to
conduct shooting with minimal problems.

Alleyway (Caddington)
Description of scene you intend to film in this location:
Protagonist walking through one evening; becomes aware of unknown presence in her steed
causing her to freeze in panic, said person passes by suddenly.
Suitability
Lighting level: Natural lighting allows for sufficient vision as well as the potential of creating
shadows to enhance the eeriness of our shots due to the street light at the centre. Low
levels of lighting could result in low quality footage but due to the presence of the lamp it
should be okay.
Noise level: Some disturbance from neighbouring houses; although as we will be filming at
4. night we believe it should be quiet.
Potential hazards: Managing equipment in the dark, chance of tripping. The alleyway is
rather enclosed and out of public view which could be a risk if a threat is present. Our
filming could inconvenience the public as we would be blocking the walkway; and would
have to move to let people through which would interrupt filming, however as we are
filming in the evening there shouldn’t be many people wanting to pass through.
Overall suitability: Some potential disturbances with this location however it would make
for some excellent shots that are appropriate for our genre of horror and could incite fear
into the audience.

Description of scene you intend to film in this location:
Eve on the phone to friend Jess, the two converse briefly and then she hangs up the phone
and leaves her house to head to the park.
Suitability
Lighting level: Access to artificial lights to give a realistic feel as the shots will be filmed in
the evening.
Noise level: Minimal as the residents of the house are usually at work or downstairs and
cannot be heard well enough to pose any threats to the sound quality of the footage.
